Happy Thursday everyone!

What did everyone think of the debate last night?  I thought it was good.  (If you missed it you can watch it here). Newt really won the night.  Sarah points out what she liked here.  I think Santorum probably struggled the most but I really don’t think anyone had a bad debate. Most had a bad topic but nothing disastrous except Paul’s foreign policy answers.  Newt might get a small bump and Santorum might drop a bit in Arizona but I don’t think the overall outcome will be affected.  However, I would love to see Newt win Arizona.  Jan Brewer sounds like she really liked Newt and is planning to endorse before the primary next Tuesday.

Wow, Randy Scheunemann flatly denies the scenes in Game Change that involve him. He says that Gov. Palin never struggled with foreign policy. He doesn’t even work for her anymore and yet he felt compelled to speak out. We all know that we Palinistas have defended Gov. Palin thru the years and set the record straight. That is nothing new.

BUT what is new is Gov. Palin’s inner circle uniting in a very public way to speak out and the MSM giving them a voice.  Have we EVER seen Meg Stapleton, Randy Scheunemann, Jason Recher, Tim Crawford, Tom Van Flein, Doug McMarlin and Andy Davis come together on a single phone call with the LSM media to defend her?  EVER?  Not to my recollection.

Who would have thought that the Associated Press, LA Times, Washington Post, The New York Times, ABC, Detroit Free Press, USA Today and CNN would be also be helping to set the record straight…  These are hardly right wing news outlets. They didn’t spin Team Palin’s comments or defense. They didn’t take anything out of context. They just reported.  Could this be a hint at the level of respect and influence Gov. Palin has earned these past few years?  They don’t have to agree with her or like her but I get the sense that she has at least earned some respect.  They would not have given her the time of day a few years ago.

and Big Hollywood is on the war path to defend Palin with this and this (love that one)… and Whitney wrote an excellent smack down of the movie at The New Agenda.

We are expecting snow again today. This is the point when I start to get cabin fever because I know that our spring rain comes in the form of snow and our last snow is usually the first of May. That means I have about 2.5 months left of cold weather… sigh…

Yep, this could happen… I say we go for brokered and not third party…

Yeah, why did they do that?  and why didn’t they invite me?  It looks so darn cool!

You can’t see me but I’m giving this bill a standing ovation… I hope it passes…

    Good Thursday Morning P4A Kids..

    I could really do without the wind!  I am yes…house sitting again at the “big house” and taking heavy metal deck furniture from the back yard to the deck…is no easy task!  I find it very ODD that the deer have been MIA since I have been here.  I see them on the roads..but it appears that the coyotes may have done more damage to the normal herds…Either that or it’s the damn WIND!  EGADS!!! ENOUGH! Kansas must really be sucking right now in order for Colorado to be blowing this bad! ..(old joke) 
     
    About the debate…what can one really say?  Santorum looked like an idiot. My vote is NOT for sale to this Pathetic POS…under any circumstance! This is NO LONGER a race for the Chief Loser in Charge…this is about Local, County and State! If Gov. Palin were to magically appear in the race…I would change my tune…but I no longer have an interest in who is the next biggest “paid for” dumb ass to “Occupy” the White House!

    It is easier to have a great day, as you suggest, when you get my juices flowing like this early in the morning.  Good stuff.  My remarks follow:

    Some of the responses to your first “this” related to Mr. Breitbart’s Big Hollywood: the commenters after the article are hilarious.  A lot of folks that aren’t on here are of a like mind with Palinistas.

    And wow, just WOW at the second “this.

    “RE:  Snow in CO., don’t blame me.  I donated my share to the Iron Dog racers.  Sorry if the angels got their directions wrong on where to dump it.

    In a fascist system, it is not necessary to recompense folks for doing what is deemed best for the community.  So, when the Volts blow up and burn homes down, the local media will probably take a while to find the cause of the explosion, and the occupiers of the home will receive commendations for bravery or something.  As the old saying goes, “Life’s a b*tch, then you have another election.

    Happy Day, Firelight! Nice fightback from Newt.

    However, we should not get away from economic issues. The Administration is trying to distract women with Shiny Pony issues like contraception.

    Sadly, the only individual who has focused relentlessly on jobs, the economy, and energy is the one who is out of the race: Palin.

        Newt sounds best when he sounds like Sarah. I think he is the one who is finally understanding that she connects best with many Americans.

        When there were 7 dwarfs, Newt was my least favorite. I know him most from his time with Al Sharpton and Nancy Pelosi, and he seemed to have bought into the Algore global warming myth. Being an ‘historian’ for Freddie Mac is a lame explanation of how he earned so much money from them – and right before the crash that hurt so many.

        Still, if Newt continues to listen to Sarah, and follow her lead, then he might even be able to beat Obama. I suppose he is better than Mitt.  Both are better than Obama.

        But I’d rather have the real leader win, than the one she is training to win.

    Mornin’ buckeroos and buckerettes, actually had a good night’s sleep, walked for 90 min. this morning, and am gearing up for another 16 hrs, or thereabouts, of adding and subtracting.

    As usual, didn’t watch the debate, didn’t want to watch the debate. Romney and his goons are fouling the airwaves here with stupid ads. According to polls here in TN, Santorum is ahead, Romney second, and Newt and Paul bringing up the rear. Romney has the state GOP folks and most of the money, but apparently the voters aren’t buying it. That makes me smile. Still have no clue what I’ll do in the primary, other than I will not vote for Romney.

    There are a few rumblings about our good GOP rep Marsha Blackburn possibly being added to the potential VP list. We love Marsha here, but she’s gotten on my bad side a couple of times with votes she’s taken. She’s a bonafide paid up member in good standing of the GOP establishment and has worked her way up the congressional leadership food chain, so she may not sit well with the anti-establishment crowd. Plus it kinda hacks me off if there’s a hidden agenda to use her to cleanse the party palate of Palin as the highest profile female. I have no evidence that’s the case, but it was the first thing I thought of when I heard the rumors.

    And I’m glad to see the push back against that Game Change garbage. You have to pick your battles and I think this is one worthy of fighting, as it’s too easy to refudiate the crap. It would help if McCain would publicly renounce this piece of kotex, but it would show that he demonstrated lousy judgement in picking his team. Still, he could diffuse a lot of this if he would — the coward.

    OK, I need to fire up the calculator — I put 100k miles on them in no time, so I always keep several new ones at the ready. Y’all play nice and keep those receipts.

    So glad to see the Palin camp firing back at the Game Change stuff. Major props to John Nolte for doing such a stellar job hitting this head on. Stacy at C4P has done a good job too!

    It’s a partisan hit job, but a lot of people saw the book as sexist and completely unsourced as well.

    On another note, I received another reason to move out of Illinois yesterday during our Governor’s budget speech. He wants to tax offshore drilling. You know since we have all those oil rigs in Lake Michigan and in the Mississippi River. Ugh. Really he wants to tax any oil company that does business in Illinois, and he sees the outer continental shelf as fair game because it belongs to the country, not any particularly state. Ugh. We already have the 5th highest gas tax in the country, and gas prices are going up everywhere. If this gets implemented, it’ll make our gas prices even higher. Cru rightly noted on twitter last night though that Gov. Quinn was trying to tax something that Pres. Obama wants to halt, so perhaps it wouldn’t work out anyway.

    Alright, enough complaining from me. Back to work.

      I am afraid that Mr. Jefferson’s “informed citizen” has not been well served for quite some time, so it is good that you and others are providing Truth to offset the other.

      The first sentence in the last paragraph does seem to be crying out for “another,” between ‘yet’ and ‘programming.’

      I keep telling you, Whit, Tennessee is the place to be. Just named the 3rd most liked state of all the 57, no state income tax, right to work, moderate climate, and it’s RED. In fact, the county just south of Nashville, Williamson County, has been identified as the most conservative county in the country. Just sayin’….

    Can’t contain my excitement. Just had to report that our new GOP controlled state legislature carved another notch in their gun handle — Occupy Nashville will officially be evicted; senate just passed the house version of the bill. Folks can still protest to their heart’s content, 24/7 if they want to, they just can’t turn the state capitol into a KOA campground. Breathtaking fines and jail time if law is broken. I love it.

    Morning all…..Pietro Leatherchest here…….Well, it was 81 degrees yesterday and will be 83 degrees today in the great desert Southwest…now thats what I call comfortable….I guess I can put my thermal underwear away for the season….According to the local news media and local Repub. county chairman, Romney won the debate…Looks to me like Rand Paul will be Romney’s VP pick. A deal has been struck and we can all go home…..The GOPe will see to it that Romney loses and that Sarah is blamed……opening the way for Jebbie in 2016. There will be no brokered convention as the GOPe control all delegate selection…..behind closed doors as usual. We will get to watch John Boehner cry for another four years. Someone please wake me up from this nightmare……..Obama agrees to let NATO put our military on trial in Afganistan for the burning of those korans….Afgan army kills two Americans today over the burning of the koran..What are we doing there? Bring our troops home and let these pieces of s%^t wallow in there own filth….That’s it, I’m bumed out for today and should go back to bed and start over..Be safe and G-d Bless.

    Well the wind finally stopped!  Woke up to about 6 inches of snow!  The good part is they have folks to come in and do the shoveling and plowing!  HA!…I hope they adopt me! :)   I will take the snow any day over that damn wind!  GRRRRR!!!

      The last time I saw snow down here in Florida, was about 1974.  Large fluffy flakes that stayed on lawns for awhile, but not on the roads.  (Would have been ‘slushy’ conditions farther north).  LOL

    I lied…the wind is back and now we have “Snownados”….4 days now of high winds…
    My ears hurt…
    I do have fun though with my dog in the snow…early on I found out she HATES Snowmen and will
    attack it if one is built.  I have no idea why she hates the snowmen so horribly. 
    We therefore NEVER watch “Frosty”..at Christmas time.  I fear she will attack the TV!
    She also loves to get a shovel full of snow to the face…So I throw all the snow I shovel at her…makes for a futal attempt to clear snow…but she has fun!  WIND..ENOUGH!!!

      Guess what? Still no bombshell. Only thing that is revealed is that she was ticked about the stupid ethics charges, which her tweets at the time showed anyway.

      No other politician could have withstood this scrutiny. No wonder our country is so screwed when the one ethical politician in our country gets put through the political hell that Governor Palin has been through. It’s sickening. 

      Kudos to the ‘Cuda, though, for maintaining her character through this all.

    I still sometimes think Sarah has been waiting for Super Tuesday or thereabouts to make a final decision. If she runs she will undoubtedly gather delegates to her cause, real delegates at the convention in Tampa. The “deadlines” are a lot more flexible for caucus states and for genuine, official write-in campaigns!

    Therefore, if she has delegates she would be more than welcome at the convention to lead her delegation…

    Therefore, her electricity and wisdom would help determine the outcome of any contested settlement…

    Maybe she will end up leading the ticket, maybe she will become part of a People’s team or coalition to squeeze out the Mitt$ter GOPes in some other way. Sarah has always been a team player:
