We made it!!!  Happy weekend everyone!

I’m going to keep it short because I think everyone should be enjoying themselves and not worrying over politics this weekend.  Gov. G’morning.

Maybe the kids are all right after all?

Somehow the message of this youth poll seems to be lost on Mr. Blow, who’s highlighted it in today’s Times, but I’d say our kiddos’ choices are promising up and down the line:

    1. Do you guys remember “Dr. Randy Reudrich” from The Undefeated? He’s the long-time Alaska GOP Chairman that Sarah fought against when she ran for state office up there.

Here’s his official address if you want to send him a nasty-gram…
    http://c3408770.r70.cf0.rackcdn.com/4.17.2012%20Ltr%20to%20Alaska%20State%20GOP.PDF

    2. I believe that Dr. Reudrich engineered the Mitt Victory in the Alaska 2012 GOP “Presidential Preference Poll”. I believe that Sarah knew this would happen because she knows the Alaska GOP better than most people!

    3. To me this is one of the clear reasons that she was blocked from running a conventional presidential race. Sarah and Reudrich are not friends, to say the least.

    4. If Sarah had lost the Alaska “primary” then her campaign might have been fatally flawed going forward. People would have said “if she can’t deliver her home state then how can she seriously run for President?”

    5. Once again, Sarah is forced to go directly to the people to get around the corrupt GOP leadership!!!  Aren’t you proud to be a part of her “Third Force” at this time, helping her run against both political parties? We are all characters now in the sequel to “The Undefeated”!!!

Thank you for your posting EVEN ON THE WEEKEND, Mrs. Firelight.

I hope you and your family are having some fun, as you suggested.

As for the rest of us, well you may not want us to continue venting, but let me remind you about the ole song,  Mama don’t allow no music playin’ around here.

If you listen close, we may play some music, pine about the good ole days, reminisce about Mr. Reagan, sigh about our dear Sarah and pray for the Palins…

    Don’t mind us.

Our congress and especially Boehner/Issa, don’t have the cajones to “do it” Firelight….if they only did, maybe not only would Holder be held in contempt, Obama would be in the middle of an impeachment process.

For the millionth time….I ♥ Mark Levin.

Yesterday, I read with interest the discussion about  Sarah and whether or not she will show implicit or explicit support of Romney.  I have no doubts that once Romney is the official candidate, Sarah will support him.  I think the support of Romney by her will be expressed not as rah, rah, rah for Romney, but boo, boo, boo for Obama.  I think she will continue as she as done for the last three years- she will speak out strongly against the Obama actions and policies.  She will continue to hammer Obama at every turn.  She’ll talk more about why Obama needs to be defeated than she will about how Romney needs to be elected.  I’ll be shocked to see her go out to Romney rallies and speak on his behalf.

Romney is my “castor oil candidate”.  I’m older than most of you here and I can remember when I was a small kid and the remedy for any gastrointestinal problem was a big ol tablespoon of castor oil.  It might have resulted in the relief of a problem, but boy oh boy was it an unpleasant experience to swallow that stuff.  It would take you a good minute to stop gagging.

It’s pretty apparent to me that Romney will be our only solution to removing Obama from office.  Yeah, yeah, we can stand on principle and refuse to cast our votes for him, but keep in mind that not voting or voting third party just means that Obama will need one less vote to get re-elected.

On election day, I’ll walk into the booth, I’ll take my dose of castor oil, I may gag once or twice, but I’ll know I did my part to kick Obama out of the White House.

Some people seem to be preparing for despair if Sarah comes out and actually says she supports Romney.  Some will try to paint her as being a sellout.  They will be wrong.  Sarah has always been a principled pragmatist.  She doesn’t cut off her nose to spite her face and neither should we.

    • cookboy

It’s the dread that makes it all the more unpleasant. I’m gonna go about my business right up to the moment. Take a dose and get back to work.

      • Firelight

and the resentment that again we have to hold our noses and resentment that he knows that and doesn’t give a rat’s ass how we feel.

I agree that I’ll kick and scream right up to the moment and I’ll look for any other viable option that I can and I hope to find one but I do know that it is about beating Obama.

IMNSHO – Mr. Kimmel could have emailed his presentation in to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.  What a slap in the face.  I did not see the whole thing, (it can be seen on C-span) but he read the notes in front of him with little nuance or emotion.  Why did he even take the gig?

The big news? Aside from the unofficial Palin/Paul alliance in Alaska?

Apparently, Steve Bannon is having Tony Lee, the Pip, and Stacy publish a series of exposes on the Establishment War against Palin, not only during 2008, but throughout the past four years.

This is great fightback on the part of Palin’s partisans in the media. She is fortunate to have Steve on her side.

My only concern is how much of Mitt’s involvement will be revealed…

    • John_Frank

My only concern is how much of Mitt’s involvement will be revealed…

Well, when you have the following piece of nonsense published in the Boston Herald, maybe it is it time to hold Mitt’s feet to the fire:

      http://www.bostonherald.com/news/columnists/view.bg?articleid=1061128117&srvc=rss

(The author’s address is kimberly.atkins@bostonherald.com. If you are so inclined, you may want to write to her and point out that her op-ed is totally wrong.)

As long as Republicans continue to attack Sarah Palin, many of us are of the view that the Romney campaign can kiss our okoles’ before we will give any consideration to supporting Romney’s candidacy.

      • Akabosan

…written for Monday, the first day after Mrs. Palin spoke (again) at the Exceptional Women’s Conference.  Of course that was in Alabama, not the beloved northeast and women of the South are different than women of the northeast, right?

        GB

      • section9

Yeah, but isn’t she one of the Herald’s Obamist columnists?

        • John_Frank

She is. However, given the racist and sexist tone of the piece it is odd the column made it out the door.

Yes, this could be a stretch, but something smells.

Of course, maybe my tin foil hat is screwed on to tight and I am all wet.

However, it strikes me as “coincidental.” First the written by Costa. Then the column by Rove. Now this piece by a Herald columnist, a paper which has been supportive of Romney?

Add to that the general chatter from the Bush/Republican faction …. and ….
