We Kicked Ass Wednesday!

Good morning peeps!

Ahhhh, I’m hoping to make this a running title, lol!  Section9 raised the question and I thought it a brilliant idea because YES WE DID… we did kick some booty last night.  What a great victory.  Whitney put up an excellent post on it – here.

I got nothing on the usual goings on.  I’m counting my days until summer break.  I am pining for some no alarm days where I can just sleep in.

Now we need to focus on Ted Cruz.  What do our Texans think of his chances?

I love it! Not a war on women but a war by women.

Club for Growth and others have not caught on yet.

If they would just call Mrs. Palin and ask her for her choice before spending money on these campaigns, they would not seem to waste so much.

I’ll take a bow, but in reality, you were the one who started it, Mrs. Firelight.

What a great night for the Reagan Wing of the Party. A fantastic night for Deb Fischer, and for Sarah Palin.

Don’t know if Firelight covered this in the news rundown, haven’t had time to check yet, but this was in the Nashville paper this morning. Nancy French, Bristol’s autobiography assistant, threw a hissy fit over a book display in a local bookstore. From what I read, she was well within her right to complain, as her kids were with her. Here’s the link to the story:

Meanwhile, over at GOPE Central–aka nationalreview.com–one could scour high and low from Geraghty’s campaignspot blog to their front page, and only find a single entry in ‘the corner’ addressing the Fischer win.  And stuck in the middle of a described five-point chain of events supposedly leading to Fischer’s win is the one, lone, quick reference to Gov. Palin and the impact of her endorsement on the race.

Mornin’ y’all, a quick drive by before I get to work — and yes, I AM going to get to work today! At least I hope I will. All systems are, currently, working fine, again. I guess the good Skipper decided to give me a break after several days of grand mal turmoil — this was interesting — only data that didn’t get transferred to the new computer were my label program files, which isn’t a matter of life and death, but it sure would make my life easier if I didn’t have to re-invent that wheel. I neglected to put the label data into the generic documents folder, which all got transferred over, so they weren’t included in the original backup. Anyway, I plugged the old machine in early this morning, used the Windows boot disk, which previously hadn’t worked, but kept diddling with it, it took about an hour, but the son of a gun actually booted up and I was able to copy those label files onto a flash drive and transfer to the new machine. So I’m now 100% back to normal as far as my data goes. The old one still is gasping its last breath, and the meter ran out on the hard drive, so I shut it down, for good this time. May it rest in peace.

Anyway, great victory last night in Nebraska. I’m looking forward to seeing Bob Kerrey try and convince Nebraska voters that he gives a rip about the state after being gone for so long. He should be viewed as a danged ole carpetbagger who can’t find another paying gig, so this is a Hail Mary of last resort. Surely to goodness, the good folks there can see that.

And I continue to smile at the democrat disarray in my home state of NC. The embarrassment that is John Edwards is a gift that keeps on giving, and I hope his trial drags on awhile longer just to keep that embarrassment in the news for dems nationally as well as in NC. I love it that his defense seems to be that he was trying to buy silence that his wife wouldn’t find out about the affair, not the voters. Uh, he’s running for president, and he doesn’t try to keep an affair quiet so the voters won’t find out? Really, John? I mean, really?! Anybody buying that horse dirt?

Finally, man, that Sarah Palin sure is irrelevant, her endorsements don’t mean anything, the tea party is dead, and why won’t she just go away? Keep hammering away. Just makes my heart sing is all it does. OK, good buddies, finally off to add and subtract. Y’all be sweet and laugh at a liberal.

What a great night, even those over at Hot Air are glowing…..even though AP placed the thread 4 threads down, didn’t update the actual win and the thread had the most comments than many of the others combined.
Looks like AP is too busy letting us know about Obama being the “first gay President”….ad nauseum.

Looks like the new dig against Palin will be that her endorsement wasn’t that big a deal and that it came when Fischer was rising in the polls anyway. But the people that matter……the American voters….know better and that really is what really counts.

I would have loved, loved, loved to have seen Karl Rove’s face when he
found out the results last night….I would have actually paid to have seen that
    look.

Dewhurst is next and then we’re coming after you gope….you will
never, ever force us to accept your terrible, non-conservative
    candidates again.

Love,, love, love that video….thanks for posting it firelight. I love that you can call these women by their first names only….and you know just who everyone’s talking about. ♥

    CHECK IT OUT

Joan, the town gossip and supervisor of the town’s morals recently accused George, a local man, of having a drinking problem becauseshe noticed his pickup truck outside the town’s only bar one
morning. After all, she reasoned, it was a logical assumption.

George stared at her for a moment and said nothing. Later that evening, he parked his pickup truck in front of her house and left it there all night.

Why is it that so many of our logical assumptions are just plain wrong? And why do we want to act as if they must be true?

In an age long before the Internet, a young American at a banquet found himself seated next to the eminent V. K. Wellington Koo, a Chinese diplomat. Completely at a loss as to what to say to someone from such a different culture, this young man ventured, “Likee soupee?” After all, he assumed, don’t all Chinese speak in broken English?

Mr. Koo smiled and nodded. Later when called upon to speak, Wellington Koo delivered an eloquent talk in exquisite English, sat down while the applause was still resounding, turned to the young man and whispered, “Likee speechee?

Another assumption that was completely wrong. And I can relate. I regularly assume things and act as if they must be true.

Do you know one of the reasons why red roses are so popular? Men keep buying them. They ASSUME that all women prefer red roses when flowers are in order. And when asked their partner’s favorite color of rose, men usually say it’s red.

But what do the women say? When women are asked what color of rose is their favorite, they are more likely to answer that they prefer yellow, white, black, peach or lavender. And when asked what kind of flowers they would prefer to receive from that special person, the answer is generally not roses at all. Try daisies, tulips or gardenias. The age-old assumption that most women like red roses best is simply not true.

Sometimes I think it has taken way too long, but I’m learning to ask about these things I always KNEW were absolutely true. At least I assumed so. When my wife is silent, I’ve always assumed she was angry with me. But now I’m learning to ask. And I’m discovering that her aloofness sometimes actually comes from the fact that she is worried about something not related to me at all.

Assumptions. We all make them. They’re too often wrong and can easily get us into trouble.

So here is what I’ve learned: when in doubt, check it out. And if I’m not in doubt, I still check it out. I’m sure I know what she likes? I check it out. I believe I know what the silence is all about?
I check it out. It’s only logical? I still check it out.

We may think we know. But what we know may not be so. Best to check it out.

This may sound simplistic, but I am always amazed how often we are in distress over things we assume to be true. Yet nobody has checked them out. And I also know that when I check my assumptions out, I can expect to be surprised.

Another adage I learned along those lines is; WHEN IN DOUBT… DON’T.

I believe that was the Mrs. Palin position last October when she showed the courage and steel to go against the will of even those who professed love for and trust in her.  She said she would act on guidance and faith, and when it came time to make the decision, she must have had a doubt that said don’t.

      BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We’re talking about Palin, Romney’s VP, the Republican establishment.  Folks, I don’t know what the word is.  It’s not criminal, but what’s being done here to Sarah Palin, what continues to be done, I tell you, it’s gonna come back and bite these people who are doing it. …”

    • Akabosan

I had listened to that part of the program, but it was great to read it again.  The written word, of course, does not convey the emotions that Mr. Limbaugh put into his speech.  For instance when he first spoke of Mrs. Palin, he increased his volume and really put emphasis on; SARAH PALIN.

Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Stephen K. Bannon, the rest of the team at Breitbart.com et al, with a back field like that the quarterback of any team would be confident and possible even sense some superiority, if not even exceptional-ism.

    Happy Palin Power Wednesday!

I just sent another check to SarahPAC.  She is the only woman I trust in politics and I know she will continue to find the right people to fight for us.  It is a good sign that those she has endorsed have also been appreciative of her endorsement, but like she has said, it is up to the candidate to build the trust with the voters and sell themselves in the end.

Ted Cruz is in a very good position now with that primary right around the corner.  As a Palin supporter, I have a new spring in my step today.  They tried to take her out and yet, she keeps up the battle and wins.

    Today is a good day.

I have never seen the Propaganda Media go after someone like they did the Governor and fail so miserably. Sarah just gets stronger with each lie and the thing is she hits back twice as hard and they have taken notice.

    Good evening.

Yes, last night was beautiful. A little happy dance. Congrats to Deb Fischer. Thank you Sarah Palin.

    Momma Grizzlies Take Nebraska
    http://www.conservativehq.com/node/8021

Mr. Viguerie, the Godfather of the conservative movement, who had endorsed State Treasurer Don Stenberg, starts of his piece writing:

We should have known better than to mess with a Momma Grizzly.

The Nebraska Republican Senate primary proved once again the enduring appeal — and political savvy — of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.  Her “Momma Grizzly” candidate, state legislator Deb Fischer, came from behind to defeat two more well-known and well-funded candidates to garner the Corn Husker state’s GOP Senate nomination.

State senator Deb Fischer was in third place most of the campaign and only ran about $100,000 worth of ads. However, the Fischer surge really took-off when Governor Palin endorsed her, and a political action committee backed by TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts spent $200,000 the weekend before the election on ads criticizing frontrunner Attorney General Jon Bruning and promoting the insurgent Fischer.

To read the rest of his article, go here:

    http://www.conservativehq.com/node/8021

It is a good analysis of the primary. He also includes a link to Deb Fischer’s website, so that people can donate funds in support of her campaign.

Well, that’s good to hear since it seemed to me he had some kind of embargoed policy regarding Sarah Palin on his website.

It will be nice if he starts mentioning her. Since she’s the most powerful conservative now in the U.S.   I.M.H.O.

Sean Parnell has betrayed Sarah Palin’s legacy of reform that won her 90% approval ratings. He is nothing more than a corrupt bastard. I wonder if Sarah Palin cries that her reforms are being wiped away. She was the greatest Governor that state ever had and for that 2 1/2 years the people actually owned their state not the Oil Companies.

  • http://twitter.com/CoolChange80 Michael

Sarah Palin Is The Consensus Builder and An Anti-Establishment Reformer. She is Sincere and Of And For The People. That Is Who She Is. I feel like we the people have been denied Sarah Palin for far too long. Every time I see Obama vs. Romney it sickens me. Mitt Romney deserves nothing but the worst and the same goes for Obama. I want Sarah Palin to be President more than just about anything in the world. She deserves a chance.
