Contempt & Corrupt Thursday – UPDATED

Happy morning all!

How is everyone this morning?  Today is my cleaning day.  We have my son’s feeding clinic bright and early this morning (did I mention the dude ate a piece of blueberry muffin?  Woot!!!  He does not like the texture of bread but he actually liked the muffin. We have progress) and then I will be cleaning all day. Lego is a dirty word on my cleaning days, lol.   I am also preparing for my daughter’s 8th birthday slumber party tomorrow night.  We will have a house full of giggly girls.  Luckily I know all the girls coming and they are a good group.  I’m also still working on my RightOnline write up.  I haven’t had much time with the busy news cycle and family things but I will get it posted.

Wow!  How about all the news the past few days.  We have the Fast and Furious news and Holder’s contempt, Obama’s privilege and hopefully we will get a ruling from SCOTUS on both Obamacare and the Arizona Immigration law today or tomorrow.  I’m trying to figure out how Holder has escaped charges so far.  He blatantly lied to Congress. Why didn’t they do anything then?  I’m not convinced anything is going to come of this but I am certainly hoping so.  The corruption that is being revealed is just sick.

News roundup:

Bristol explains why she did a show…

I would like to know the same thing

Bombshell!  Excellent write by just another blogger Marybeth at C4P…

They deserve the truth

OK, I’m calling your bluff... do it… do it now… I would love to see it…

How about a stale vanilla latte… anyone? anyone?

I sure hope so

With all the news breaking I thought I would update again this morning.  It appears that no Scotus ruling on Obamacare or the AZ law until next week.

7-2 vote by SCOTUS in favor of employees right to choose… to bad, so sad SEIU… no political money for you… this explains the ruling in easy terms…

Pretty sure the reason is because it goes against the narrative…. what better narrative than to show how Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma ALL governed by Republicans are growing.  That would make the case for Romney stronger…  No, pretty sure this is because Romney’s record as Gov. of Mass sucks and he doesn’t want anyone making him look bad.  Hey Gov. Scott, while you are at it… can you please dress down a little, don’t look so tan and certainly stop being so nice to your dog…

The cover up is usually worse than the crime…

I could have told him this… I could have told the GOP this too but noooooo why would anyone listen to a voter…

No, it isn’t rocket science that it is illegal but will the GOP have the cajones to challenge it?…  Let’s walk down memory lane… here, here, here, and here… wonder how that side of juicy hypocrisy tastes right now?…

Oh, look here

Anyone hear Darth Vadar breathing at this point?…

Not doing fine…

Sigh… pale pastels…

Go, Texas Community Bank!…

Tale of two pundits…

No, not Paul Sr. but possibly Rand

Thrilling… this can’t go over well…

Go Judge Alito… no merit… that has got to hurt…

Go new media!!…

This is something to be worried about…

Always nice to see a Malkin smack down… video is at the end

Levin is a man who would know…

Love me some Ted Cruz… this ad is Texas sized cajones…  repeat after me… what he knew and when he knew it…

Heh… this is good!

Have a great day everyone!

Have a great day Firelight and thanks for the news roundup. If you need a good energy tablet you could try Pharmaton It was recommend to me by a very good friend and a doctor as well, you could ask your doctor about it.

“I’m trying to figure out how Holder has escaped charges so far” its really, really sad when you stop and think about it and also how in the world Reid and Pelosi still have a Job is beyond me.

When Sarah Palin becomes President one day the Democrats would not see a majority in Congress for a 100 years far-less a President.

    • Firelight

I’m totally there on the energy tablet! For the most part, I’m bounding with energy but on occasion I just drag and its hard to get going again. I think I’m getting old, lol!!

      • blackbird

“I think I’m getting old” no you’re a Mom, the hardest and most important Job on the Planet.

      • blackbird

Hi Gelston, I origanilly did not want to post the link but here it is My good friend from Trinidad he is about 80yrs told me about Pharmaton a couple of years ago and how well it woks for him, so me and my mum tried it and it seems to work, I do not take it like a multivitamin only when I am feeling rundown.

I didn’t click cuz i saw it was pollutico.

But I’m assuming it was a story about Romney/Pawlenty, the rock star ticket of the century?

      • Firelight

Yep, and oh how they think it could be the greatest… puke!!

  • RefudiateGOPe

    Good morning all.

Hey Firelight, I have a question. Sometime yesterday, I noticed that the appearance of Disqus had changed here, but not on other Disqus-supported sites. I thought it might just be my notebook, but this morning I see the same change on my desktop. Whazzup? Not complaining, just curious.

    • hrh40

I noticed, too. I haven’t been anywhere else yet cuz P4A’s always my first stop! Fascinating if changes aren’t everywhere.

    • Firelight

I noticed it too. I got an update in the email box and did NOT install it as I really don’t like change. Then yesterday, it appears to have done it all by itself. I’m not pleased as I really don’t like the new format at all but there appears to be nothing I can do :(

If other sites don’t also update to the new disqus then I will complain louder. What do you think of it?

      • Bean Counter

While hardly a matter of life and death, I don’t like it either.

        • Firelight

          Fixed it :)

          • Bean Counter

      • RefudiateGOPe

I don’t really have much of a problem with the change. I’m guessing that the up and down arrows at the left bottom of the comment are “like” and “dislike”. Is that right.

My only real complaint with Disqus is how it truncates anything you paste into a comment. I usually do an edit to fix it. I notice it doesn’t do that at The Right Scoop though.

At my age, I pretty much hate most changes. The bad part is that sometimes my memory is so bad I’m not sure I even notice some changes. :-)

        • Firelight

I finally got it switched back.

I didn’t like that you couldn’t tell who liked or dislike a comment and for me it didn’t show reply posts unless you clicked to expand it.

I have a feeling that at some point we will be forced to use it but I think I will let them work the kinks out first.

          • indemind

Firelight … I didn’t care for it either, But Firelight is so Awesome, I didn’t care that I didn’t care. *_*

Good Morning barbarians…Palin-“They propped him up and spun for him, and with tingles up their leg, they delivered their chosen one for the victory,” … “We have the time-tested truths on our side and we will defeat that Goliath of the old media that still seeks to deceive this most exceptional nation. So don’t’ retreat. Reload.”

Palin-… “There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we don’t care who gets the credit.”

            • Firelight

              Awwwwww, thank you :)

      • Akabosan

Well, I did not want to say anything because I always get the sniffles when all y’all young ‘uns call me an old fuddy duddy and I am not totally against PROGRESS, buuuttttt, I did LIKE the old format better.

  • RefudiateGOPe

For a couple of years, I’ve thought the perfect platform for Sarah on Fox would be a weekly commentary on a subject of her own choice. It could run 3-5 minutes and repeated across four or five shows. I’m sure there are people who watch some of the FNC/FBN shows in the day but don’t watch FNC/FBN at night and vice versa. Too often, Sarah’s appearances on FNC/FBN are ruined by stupid questions and interruptions. I’m not saying she shouldn’t do exchanges (I don’t like the term interview) with the Hannitys and the Van Susterns, I’m just saying that solid commentary on important issues would be dynamite. People need to see the Sarah Palin who we see when she gives one of her speeches. People need to see that she speaks for the people and that she’s not just a talking head amongst other talking heads. They need to see Sarah Palin and then be able to say, “That woman just said what I think”, because it’s true, she does represent the common folk, the non-political folk, the people who build our cars, grow our food and fight our wars. Everyday Americans need to hear Sarah Palin, unfiltered.

Boy, those commentaries would sure keep the left and its compliant toady media all wee-we’d up.

    • hrh40

Didn’t Reagan do some kind of regular radio addresses in his wilderness years from 76 to 80? Perhaps the FB notes are Palin’s version of this.

      • blerch

Did a radio commentary every weekday and 2 newspaper columns a week.

    • LS as guest

      Nice idea!

    • indemind

      Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii  Like It!

  • KatieSilverSpring

Yes, indeedy, Firelight, it has been a fast and furious week. Here in Maryland we have an Obama governor who likewise thinks he is king. And, his followers must think so also. I am wondering if any of you have noticed on various web sites’ Comments sections and blogs that the Progs are out attacking? I am getting hammered by two of them, named “jag” and “Frank”. I have complained to both editors, mine at and a more attentive one at the who told me she has seen these two trolling around. When you have a moment, read how they switched off O’Malley (our governor) and made it all about Obama:

  • BostonBruin

    Good morning!
According to Legal Insurrection, the SCOTUS will hand down decisions at 10:00 AM today, 10:00 AM on Monday and 10:00 AM next Thursday.

    • Gelston

and LSM heads will explode at 10:01 AM today, 10:01 AM on Monday and 10:01 AM next Thursday.
May we expect the Great Igloo Laptop to have a FaceBook post soon thereafter? Something that corrects the LSM?

      • BostonBruin

Can’t find the details yet, but I’m seeing tweets indicating that the SCOTUS just released a decision that will make SEIU very unhappy – something to do with forced union contributions for political purposes.

        From John Nolte:

9th Circuit reverersed 7-2 on case that protected SEIU. Well, no more.

        From Melissa Clouthier:

Sweet, delicious SEIU tears of agony. I LOVE it.

        • Firelight

I updated the post with the new ruling info.

    • Firelight

They will save the Obamacare for last because there will be fallout no matter how they rule and they probably don’t want the other rulings to get lost in the news.  I bet Ocare and the AZ case both get announced last.

  • LS as guest

Okay, I’ll admit, I went to Bristol’s blog and, despite the headline, I didn’t find her explanation for why she chose to do a reality show.

    • Firelight

I think Bristol thinks she needs to explain herself a bit and then show what being a single mom is really like.  I got the impression that the first few episodes just really cover some backstory and use footage from the other show she was planning to do with the Massey brothers.  I think when it moves to Alaska it gets really good.

  • Riley4Palin

I’m with the majority, keep Disqus the way it is, no updates.  I checked in late yesterday afternoon and didn’t recognize my screen.  I thought it was just acting up so Ieft quickly.  Not compatible and user-friendly at all!

Glad to see this AM that it is back to where I like it.  I don’t mind change if it is a worthwhile change, but that update sucked!!

Fire, if they try to shove this one down our throats, let’s take it up with the Surpreme Court.  They seem to have a little more free time now that they told SEIU to go pound sand (even the libs agreed with the most objective and rational justices).  There is still hope for America.

We Are All Keynesians Now — At Least According to National Review

Please read this article and tell me, have the editors of National Review have gone mad?

Now that you have read the piece by Ramesh Ponnuru and former Bush Treasury
economist David Beckworth you are invited, nay, strongly encouraged to
pick yourself up off the floor and ask yourself if you actually read that article in National Review.Unfortunately, you read it right; NRO, the legacy of William F. Buckley, Jr. is advocating
inflation as the way to kick start the economy.

  • hrh40

    Yay, Texas Community Bank!

We need to break up the Federal Reserve, too, and allow regional banks that are not controlled by the NY cartel.

That video of Michele Malkin’s smackdown was a beautiful thing. ♥……
But did I hear that liberal hack right?!? She DID NOT just say that!!

I had to go back and listen to that again……
“Give him some years….the guy just died a year ago”…..Shame, SHAME on that liberal fool.

    • blackbird

I could not believe my ears also, I think that’s what happens when you push a liberal hard with facts they get all confused and start talking nonsense.

I feel like writing Sean and asking why he have ignorant partisan hacks on his show because I tune in for an honest debate of ideas and it’s very frustrating hearing this garbage, it’s depressing.

  • BostonBruin

Interview with Todd Palin on Sarah Palin Radio done today talking about the “Stars Earn Stripes” reality competition:

Sounds like they’ve already recorded some of the competition. I was wondering why Gov. Palin was spending so much time in Scottsdale the last few weeks. They must have been filming in the area.

    • Firelight

I would be they are filming in the California desert or Santa Ynez Valley where they do film a lot of stuff like this.

It would keep her close if she stayed around in Arizona and then her spotting in Beverly Hills.

  • Akabosan

I just got to see the updates.  Thank you, Mrs. Firelight.  Be sure your time card has the proper amount for overtime…  :)

I hope you have a great evening and a super day tomorrow.

  • blackbird

Firelight, I agree with your description for the pale pastels link. Immigration should not be this hard, start with securing the border and enforcing the Laws of the land, there is 90% of the problem solved right there, the rest of the issues could be dealt with on an individual basis, just my 2cents.

The Hollywood Gay Mafia are using their power and influence on their smear campaign against Bristol Palin and her show.

The Gay Mafia has a war on a 21 year single mother and they have a smear campaign against her and her show. Please spread the word

Firelight just keeps rollin’ along. Firelight is not going to sit down and shut up. No wonder, Firelight is such an ardent Sarah Palin supporter! ! ! ! ! !
