Contempt & Corrupt Thursday – UPDATED

Happy morning all!

How is everyone this morning?  Today is my cleaning day.  We have my son’s feeding clinic bright and early this morning (did I mention the dude ate a piece of blueberry muffin?  Woot!!!  He does not like the texture of bread but he actually liked the muffin. We have progress) and then I will be cleaning all day. Lego is a dirty word on my cleaning days, lol.   I am also preparing for my daughter’s 8th birthday slumber party tomorrow night.  We will have a house full of giggly girls.  Luckily I know all the girls coming and they are a good group.  I’m also still working on my RightOnline write up.  I haven’t had much time with the busy news cycle and family things but I will get it posted.

Wow!  How about all the news the past few days.  We have the Fast and Furious news and Holder’s contempt, Obama’s privilege and hopefully we will get a ruling from SCOTUS on both Obamacare and the Arizona Immigration law today or tomorrow.  I’m trying to figure out how Holder has escaped charges so far.  He blatantly lied to Congress. Why didn’t they do anything then?  I’m not convinced anything is going to come of this but I am certainly hoping so.  The corruption that is being revealed is just sick.

UPDATE:

With all the news breaking I thought I would update again this morning.  It appears that no Scotus ruling on Obamacare or the AZ law until next week.

7-2 vote by SCOTUS in favor of employees right to choose… to bad, so sad SEIU… no political money for you… this explains the ruling in easy terms…

Pretty sure the reason is because it goes against the narrative…. what better narrative than to show how Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma ALL governed by Republicans are growing.  That would make the case for Romney stronger…  No, pretty sure this is because Romney’s record as Gov. of Mass sucks and he doesn’t want anyone making him look bad.  Hey Gov. Scott, while you are at it… can you please dress down a little, don’t look so tan and certainly stop being so nice to your dog…

The cover up is usually worse than the crime…

      I’m totally there on the energy tablet! For the most part, I’m bounding with energy but on occasion I just drag and its hard to get going again. I think I’m getting old, lol!!

    Hey Firelight, I have a question. Sometime yesterday, I noticed that the appearance of Disqus had changed here, but not on other Disqus-supported sites. I thought it might just be my notebook, but this morning I see the same change on my desktop. Whazzup? Not complaining, just curious.

      I noticed, too. I haven’t been anywhere else yet cuz P4A’s always my first stop! Fascinating if changes aren’t everywhere.

      I noticed it too. I got an update in the email box and did NOT install it as I really don’t like change. Then yesterday, it appears to have done it all by itself. I’m not pleased as I really don’t like the new format at all but there appears to be nothing I can do :(

      If other sites don’t also update to the new disqus then I will complain louder. What do you think of it?

        I don’t really have much of a problem with the change. I’m guessing that the up and down arrows at the left bottom of the comment are “like” and “dislike”. Is that right.

        My only real complaint with Disqus is how it truncates anything you paste into a comment. I usually do an edit to fix it. I notice it doesn’t do that at The Right Scoop though.

        At my age, I pretty much hate most changes. The bad part is that sometimes my memory is so bad I’m not sure I even notice some changes. :-)

          I finally got it switched back.

          I didn’t like that you couldn’t tell who liked or dislike a comment and for me it didn’t show reply posts unless you clicked to expand it.

          I have a feeling that at some point we will be forced to use it but I think I will let them work the kinks out first.

    For a couple of years, I’ve thought the perfect platform for Sarah on Fox would be a weekly commentary on a subject of her own choice. It could run 3-5 minutes and repeated across four or five shows. I’m sure there are people who watch some of the FNC/FBN shows in the day but don’t watch FNC/FBN at night and vice versa. Too often, Sarah’s appearances on FNC/FBN are ruined by stupid questions and interruptions. I’m not saying she shouldn’t do exchanges (I don’t like the term interview) with the Hannitys and the Van Susterns, I’m just saying that solid commentary on important issues would be dynamite. People need to see the Sarah Palin who we see when she gives one of her speeches. People need to see that she speaks for the people and that she’s not just a talking head amongst other talking heads. They need to see Sarah Palin and then be able to say, “That woman just said what I think”, because it’s true, she does represent the common folk, the non-political folk, the people who build our cars, grow our food and fight our wars. Everyday Americans need to hear Sarah Palin, unfiltered.

    Boy, those commentaries would sure keep the left and its compliant toady media all wee-we’d up.

      I think Bristol thinks she needs to explain herself a bit and then show what being a single mom is really like.  I got the impression that the first few episodes just really cover some backstory and use footage from the other show she was planning to do with the Massey brothers.  I think when it moves to Alaska it gets really good.

    I’m with the majority, keep Disqus the way it is, no updates.  I checked in late yesterday afternoon and didn’t recognize my screen.  I thought it was just acting up so Ieft quickly.  Not compatible and user-friendly at all!

    Glad to see this AM that it is back to where I like it.  I don’t mind change if it is a worthwhile change, but that update sucked!!

    Fire, if they try to shove this one down our throats, let’s take it up with the Surpreme Court.  They seem to have a little more free time now that they told SEIU to go pound sand (even the libs agreed with the most objective and rational justices).  There is still hope for America.

    Firelight, I agree with your description for the pale pastels link. Immigration should not be this hard, start with securing the border and enforcing the Laws of the land, there is 90% of the problem solved right there, the rest of the issues could be dealt with on an individual basis, just my 2cents.
