Tear Down This Wall Tuesday

Good morning everyone!

Well on this day, June 12th in 1987 President Reagan publicly challenged Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall.

Remembering Reagan’s cry for freedom

Great video of behind the great speech…

Actual speech:

Pics from Gov. Palin’s speech yesterday here, here and here

Kelsey has reposted a movie on Palin that is over 2 hours long… it has some really good stuff in it…

It’s a start

Heh, Huffpo gives straight news on Palin…

Go North Dakota!!!  Vote today if you are there…

Self made something

Go for it!…

Clearly they didn’t measure wealth saved or created they way Obama does jobs…

With wealth disappearing… this makes perfect sense…

I wanna see some follow thru…

Cause this is how we roll here… oh and these are Tea Party women, I know them…

I think his illness is called hypointegrity… (low or no integrity)

You say what?… I guess even a blind squirrel can find an acorn every now and then…

My heart and prayers go out to her… she is a good egg…

Not legal… they have no authority to do this and I better see the GOP fight this…

This is a tragedy and a sign that something is very wrong within our military…

Have a great day everyone!  Tear some walls down for fun…

    Excellent news roundup Firelight, thanks.

Thanks Kelsey for the video, I started it and will download it later, bed time.

The Conservative women of Denver article was a good read.

WOOHOO!! Go For it Roomy! Janne..I hope it passes in ND! (you are happy about this right?) :)

Thanks Firelight and Miss Bean for the prayers! Mom is doing well. It will be a tough few weeks ahead but we met a lot of old friends in the surgical waiting area. Spent the time talking shop and family. I swear ( a lot) but….it was just weird! From a long time family friend whose grandson took a curve too hard and rolled his car to old friends of my Dad’s from past business.  Both have wives on the same floor.  They say it is a small world…but Holy CRAP! !  But to know my Dad…we can”t go anywhere…even Mexico where we don”t run into someone he knows…It’s almost a curse! :) Passes the time though!

Jeb Bush! GO AWAY! Like NASCAR..MY Motto is “NO MORE BUSCH’S”….scummy ass bastards! I don’t care how you spell it…a Bush is a Busch and they all SUCK!!!

Blackbird your “old lady” joke was a killer on the 7the floor of the hospital! It had the floor rolling! Thank you! Lots of tired visitors got a kick out of it!

      Oh..P.S. I have a question!

I watched “The Avengers” Movie…is it just me or did they not want to pay for the extra cost for lighting? I know those Obama lightbulbs are expensive…but most of the movie was filmed with minimal lighting! Who ever paid to go watch a movie that you can’t see…I feel bad for you! I paid nothing and got nothing in return! Horrible POS! JMHO!

      • TSM_Admin

Didn’t particularly notice about the lighting in “The Avengers”.  But with budgets like $200 million, it’s the mood or effect they are going for.  So, some seemingly less well lit scenes are part of the plan.

      RE:  “I swear (a lot)…”

If you are going to Middleborough Massachusetts <= Sung to the tune of IF YOU ARE GOING TO SANFRANCISCO…

It will cost ya to swear on the streets.

Let me get this right.  In Massachusetts a person can kill a baby, but not cuss on the street.  HMMM.

Glad to hear that Mom is doing well. I’m only half serious here, but I’ve been both under the knife and waiting in the hospital holding cell, and I think I may prefer being under the knife. At least you get a nice drug induced nap out of it. A few years ago, one of my best friends had a huge tumor removed from her pituitary gland, which qualified as brain surgery. She’s totally fine, but I was at the hospital with her husband from 8:00 am until after 7:00 that evening. Crappy food, spotty wi-fi service, CNN — I was absolutely miserable! ha

…so you are one of the 1026 people that watch CNN?

Huge primary in ND today, I am hoepful we see solid conservative vote all across the board!   In addition to many meassures, we have serious State Senate race here, and also congressional fights.  My district Senate race being watched by the whole state.  It will either be champagne or…..

      • Firelight

Good luck Janne!  We are all pulling for the conservatives in your state!

      Thanks Crueladev.

Good news about your Mom, may she have a speedy recovery.

I am pretty sure you would have seen some thing similar if not this exact report – Children’s Hospital Heroes: Therapy Dogs –

I found this gem on the internet today,

While the U.S. Supreme Court continues to review the constitutionality of the federal health insurance mandate passed in 2010, new taxes that were also created by the law will likely remain.
Beginning in 2013, two taxes are set to take effect: a 3.8% Medicare surtax on net investment income, and an additional 0.9% Medicare payroll tax.
While it is unlikely that the Supreme Court would strike down the entire health-care law, there is a possibility that the “individual mandate” provision to purchase insurance may be ruled as unconstitutional. Since the new surtax and extra payroll tax are separate from that provision, it may be prudent for investors to prepare for these taxes in 2013 regardless of the court’s decision.

I’ll admit, I’m loath to see the governor tie her conservative credibility to that of Allen West, and here is one more example where he’s voted with the big-spending, crony capitalist Dems for a major patronage program:

Morning all……Another sunny 104 degree day in the great desert Southwest….Glad to hear that Cru’s mom made it thru surgery..Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery……Where is Sarah and what is she doing? Probably back at the Southern Command at Ft. Scottsdale…more sun and fun, and then off to Las Vegas on Thursday or Friday…..where they had to add extra seating due to Sarah’s keynote speech…She will be speaking to the very people that carry her message all over the internet..thus side-stepping the LSM….I hope she decides to go to Texas and campaign for Ted Cruz….at a massive rally in Dallas-Ft. Worth…If The Freedom Party is put into play..What colors should Sarah’s signs be?……..Pay attention to details….That’s it for now. Everyone have a great day and play nice.

Rush is being paid to push the site.  “The RNC platform committee wants to hear from you.”

After a quick look at the questions, not seeing any that seem sudden or relentless, I am wondering if the editors of Puffington Host and Saloon were in on writing the choices.  Hmmm?!?!?!?.

I’ve been warning folks about Establishment & Lobbyist Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks front group using the tea party to help him pay back his own grudges from his days in the House. And to fasten their seatbelts at how quickly he’ll throw the tea party under the bus when the Establishment GOP comes calling. Looks like that day has arrived.

Rush is a Republican lobbyist and very disappointing these days …

        • Firelight

I agree.  While I do really like some of the staff from Freedomworks, Armey and the top leadership there are not to be trusted.  They don’t have conservatives’ best interest at heart.

“It is too easily forgotten these days what a ten-strike John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin was considered to be in the day. Enthusiasm and energy flowed into the McCain campaign — a campaign lost not by the selection of Palin but by the economic blow-up that occurred weeks later, and McCain’s response to that event.”
