What’s Happening Wednesday?

Good morning everyone!

What’s going on today?  We still need prayers for Bestbud and prayers for a speedy recovery for Cruela’s mom.  I also want to wish Emily a very Happy Birthday!!  I hope your day is great and that you are jamming on your guitar.

At my house, my kids are participating in VBS this week so they are having lots of fun. I’m getting ready to leave for RightOnline!  I love that I can have a quick get away and I really love that it is in Vegas!!  I love palm trees.  They make me smile.  The schedule for the conference is also exciting.  I am very thankful to get to be apart of the conference.

So the elections didn’t go so well yesterday for conservatives.  AZ special election went to Ron Barber. He is a Dem and was Gabby Gifford’s aide.  Jesse Kelly was the GOP candidate and he just couldn’t close the deal.  Allen won in Virginia beating Jamie Radke. I knew that she was a long shot but I was hoping that she could pull a win out.  Maybe Janne can update us on the North Dakota results. I see that they rejected the property tax repeal and also the religious freedom proposal.

Bristol blogs on twitter…  I think she is wise to stay off twitter…

Yes, she does have prowess

Yeah… how’s that working?…  Have you even learned to spell it yet?…

Don’t sugar coat it so much next time…  It’s not like the idea is new…

This still shocks me… I graduated from High School in 1992 so I guess that means we start over towards retirement… lovely…

Cronyism at its finest…  he can’t seem to get ahead in life without buying it…

Just shaking my head

Vote set for the 20th…

He is exactly right

Why the sad face… this is good news…

Have a great day everyone!!!

  • Janne Myrdal

Some losses in ND on measures, BUT huge victories for State House and Senate against serious Rinos!!  wooohooo!  One year of long hard fights done!!  Now a days rest and then on to November.  Check out

    • LS as guest

      Great to haer!

    • Akabosan

IMNSHO and somewhate limited experience,   When a Nordic goddess says “wooohooo!”  There is definitely something to which attention needs to be paid.  :)

Congratulations for your victories, Mrs. Myrdal.

    • Firelight

That is awesome Janne!!  I was looking around midnight last night for some type of summary.  This is good news!

  • Janne Myrdal

Update on property tax relief (#2) and Religious Freedom measures (#3):
Property taxes was fear mongered to death, so lost soundly.  #3 was fought by Planned Parenthood sending huge $ into ND with huge TV ad campaign that caught the proponents unaware a bit, so lost againt by fear mongering.  All in all it shows that grass roots activism is key and needed.  However,  on district levels in State House and Senate races across the state it worked, maybe because it was more tangible?  I also think that any measure or change to the ND constitution made some conservatives worried, so they voted No on #3.  More work to be done and we move forward!.   I preach grass roots all the time, but it works folks.  It did in Wi and it sure did as we kicked &^&)# in some districts tonight.   Off to zzzzzzz.

  • Crueladev

    Good Morning P4A Kids…

It was a really tough Tuesday!  My Dad rescued me from punching someone..ANYONE in the face!
Mom had so much pain all day that she was going into shock on at least 3 occasions.  The Nurse even left in tears. Let’s just say it was a bad day!  We know we are in this for the long haul!  Mom had knee surgery but she has so many other issues.  We get these little farty PT folks in there with orders and they give no mind to age or other physical issues.  I nearly threw a little young PT wench out a 7 story window!  Pain Meds took two hours to get into my Mom.  My neighbor called me as I was on my way back to the hospital.  She could be a Mia twin!  LIFESAVIOR!!! Let’s just say that if I lived in MA and the new “profanity law”…I would owe MILLIONS!!!

    Anyway…Congrats VA..for George Allen…IDIOTS!
No bitching for you…don’t care to hear it! Same with you AZ! You made your bed!

    Onward to November!

You all have a good Wednesday!

    • blackbird

Hope you and your Mom fare better today Crueladev.

Hospitals and pain can be a tough one-two punch.  I hope today is better for you all.

“My Dad rescued me from punching someone.” …You, Never, I Don’t believe It, Can’t Be, naaa!

    • Lipstick

I will be praying for your mom.

  • blackbird

Thanks for the news roundup Firelight.

So Mitch McConnell doesn’t think leaking state secrets and highly classified information pertaining to the defense of the nation and putting peoples lives in grave danger is not that big a deal. WOW!!!

    • LS as guest

I fear for our country if Romney wins and McConnell is still in charge of the GOP in the Senate–even if we take back the chamber.  I’m convinced the man is both a RINO to the core AND compromised blackmail material.

      • hrh40

I articulated this in very sentiment in the comments over at on the post about Mitt hitting Obama for being out of touch.

The nation will not change direction with Romney/McConnell/Boehner in charge.

        • Firelight

They will ruined any shred left of the GOP brand.  It will truly be ripe for a new party.

        • TENCOLE

hrh, I wish I could double….no, triple like your comment. I’ve been screaming my fear of  Boehner, McConnell and Mitt being in charge, from the rooftops, only to fall on deaf ears….it’s all about ABO ya know. *sigh*

          • LS as guest

Yep, Boehner’s just as bad, right in there with the others.

But Boehner and McConnell are both an order of magnitude more dangerous with a RINO prez than with a Democrat they’re at least supposed to pretend opposing.

          • OldPat

Ready for their turn at the trough.  Go ahead, boys, count your chickens.

        • LS as guest

Romney’s ‘out of touch’ line is as bad as his repeatedly referring to Obama as being so ‘nice’.

The milquetoast style of the RINO pol is just hard to take generally, I guess.  But really, plutocrat, 65yo, eternally square Romney is the last guy who should go accusing anyone of being ‘out of touch’.  He just is.

  • Emily Baxter

    It’s my 19th birthday today.

If anyone could get Sarah Palin to follow me on Twitter, that would be most appreciated. That’s all I ask.

Oh, and I’m having a Winnie the Pooh party. My Pooh bear on my bed says hi. He’s also a conservative. :)

Romney, Romney, Romney…I keep thinking that pretty soon we’re going to have an alien invasion and it’s going to wipe the country and control children’s minds like in Falling Skies. Hey, it’s a possibility! Even the aliens know that Romney’s not presidential material. They must be waiting this election out before they swoop in and we have to go all Hunger Games.

Alrighty, I’m going to enjoy my day. Y’all play nice. :) (Holy crap, I sound like Aunt Bean…)

    • Akabosan

      Happy Birthday.

You are a great communicator.  Your multiplicity can be a blessing or a curse.  Friends and travel are very important to you.

Your generally positive ATTITUDE is your saving grace.

We know you have a great sense of humor…

      Now, friends…  Hmmmm?!?!?!  Friends?

And just think firelight, when Mitt is POTUS, Boehner AND McConnell will be at the helm…..scary ain’t it?

  • Pete Petretich

Maybe we should have a tab at the top of C4P and/or P4A about nomenclature issues. Then again, maybe not, but I think the idea is worth considering.

Palinistas, libertarians, constitutionalist, crony capitalism, old boy network, Tea Party, GOPe, AFP, Freedomworks, TPE, Tea Party Patriots etc. etc. This can all be disconcerting for newcomers or casual visitors. Also, if we carelessly use derogatory words to describe potential allies or fellow travelers then we can easily create bad blood and bad memories between groups that may be sympathetic to Sarah Palin’s short and long-term goals.

Such a ready list could easily be updated on a regular basis.Recently it seems that the Ron Paul Devotees have converged on “Liberty Movement” to describe themselves. This is an especially pressing issue for them since Cong. Paul is retiring at the end of this House session. So where will all those American voters go?

“The Liberty movement is big and sprawling, and the only thing holding this faction together is Ron Paul. And now we are seeing it start to blow apart…”

C4P and/or P4A might be effective communication hubs to develop such a nomenclature so that it is both balanced and realistic, but also useful to all of us…

    • Akabosan

Excellent thoughts you have passed along there, Mr. Petretich.

RE:  Nomenclature.  I realized after my first couple of semesters in college that most of what I was being taught in law, in marketing, in economics was the jargon, language or nomeclature of each of those disciplines.  The foundation of any intellectual discipline is the words used.

Although the article by Mr. Picht is thought provoking, I disagree with the premise of the movement being blown apart.  Liberty (or freedom) is in the heart and mind and soul of all persons.  Since the awakening of American Citizens known as many things, (but the TEA PARTY movement is most recognizable) it has come to the forefront of many more minds of people who for a couple of generations may have taken it for granted.  It is sort of like after rowing for a long time, the oars were left idle, and now many people are once again rowing frantically to try to keep from going over the falls they know is just a little way down stream.

      • blackbird

I agree Akabosan. The Governor always says it is not about one person and no one person is the leader, although she was specifically referring to the Tea Party this also holds true to the Libertarian movement.

Morning all……another bright and sunny 106 degree day in the great desert Southwest…..Where is Sarah and what is she doing?  I would say taking in more sun at Ft. Scottsdale…Heads up to all who are attending Right-on-line convention…prepare for a over-flow crowd for Gov. Palin’s speech…get there early..remember the book signings…Could it get any worse for President Barack Hussein Kardashian? Yes it can. Wait until the charges are filed for perjury…I sent the RNC request for money  for Mitt back with “All my money goes to SARAHPAC”…Sure felt good when I dropped it in the mail box….That’s it for now…have a great day and be safe..

    • LS as guest

So how does the senator spend his 106-degree days in the great desert Southwest–in 72-degree AC?

Are evenings cool enough to sit out on the deck, under the stars?

  • blackbird

Hi Firelight, just saw this report over at Breitbart: ‘Game of Thrones’ Shows Bush’s Head on Spike

    • Firelight

I saw that. I must say that I never recognized Bush up on that stake.  It is so brief, has long dirty hair and at an odd angle that I am surprised anyone recognized him.

      • blackbird

I just emailed HBO letting them know I would not be watching season 3 and why they couldn’t leave their political ideology out of a great series.

  • Pete Petretich

OK, this is for all you gun nuts out there…

I was able to enjoy most of these Marine Week exhibits earlier today in downtown Cleveland. Lots of state of the art fighting equipment, and some vintage stuff, too. A simulated Vietnam memorial wall. A radio controlled car to debug booby traps. A modern Howitzer (I looked right down the barrel, of course). Several jumbo-tron video screens with related videos. Friendly Marines always standing by to answer questions.

There were lots of kids enjoying the equipment, climbing in and out of Amphibious Assault Vehicles, jeeps from Vietnam, a Huey helicopter, an Osprey, a Cobra attack helicopter. Lots of cool stuff, including high tech assault rifles and grenade launchers and working dogs.

Naturally, I was often reminded of our Warrior Princess, Gov. Sarah Palin…

  • Nancy6

    Happy Birthday, Emily!:)

    Cruela, Praying for your Mom!
