I Built This Post Without Obama’s Help Thursday

Good morning everyone!

 

How is everyone?  We have new neighbors that have moved in and I think a new child has been added to our family.  They have a very sweet girl that is only a year older than my daughter and it appears that those two have become attached at the hip since they moved in last Saturday.  So tonight our new neighbor is finally spending the night because apparently 10 hours of play time during the day just isn’t enough, lol.

So Gov. Palin has some more people speaking up for her.  Senator DeMint spoke up last night on Greta.

 

DeMint is a good man. I certainly hope that he is also invited to the convention. So the latest excuse by Team Romney is that the invitations haven’t been given out yet but I don’t buy that. Mia Love knows that she is speaking. Christie knows that he is keynoting on Tuesday night so clearly that new narrative might not be completely true. I hope it does mean that it provides enough flexibility to save face and invite Palin.

      LOL!  I think he underestimated the can of worms he opened.  Even people who may not have backed Palin for a run are speaking up for her out of a sense of decorum, tradition and respect.

      Mittens really stepped in it. Hopefully, he is smart enough to step out of it and fix it and not lay down and wallow in it.

            When I hear people ask why doesn’t he fight BO, I can only chuckle.  You see, he already is the only way he knows how.  That ball of fur you see on the ground is ole Mitt.  LOL

            Tho Mitt would like to win, that isn’t one of his primary functions. That honor belongs to freezing the GOV and us out of the political process, holding the GOPe’s place at the public trough, and setting things up for Jeb in 2016. Mitt may not know about this last one, but his advisers surely do.

            Have you wondered just how many stalking horses were in the GOP Primaries?  BO had one, Mitt had at least a couple and the GOPe may have had even more,

        I kind of think that Mittens and the Establishment exist in a self-reinforcing conversation of people who agree with each other. Remember what Pauline Kael, theater critic for the New York Times, is reported to have said after Nixon trounced McGovern in 1972: “No one I know voted for Nixon!”.

        The Bushists, “Rising Tide Lifts All Yachts”, Establishment is of the same breed. No one they know would vote for the Palins, except, perhaps, the Help.

    The great Gary Jackson and me have been going at with John Ziegler on twitter. I love a good fight. Being blocked by Political gates made my day, but I told them that they are wasting their life and going at them too. I say confront the enemy and have some fun with it.

      Michael, I admire your spirit, but there is such a thing as private property. Aside from that, there’s Dr. Johnson’s admonition that one cannot argue a man out of something he has not been argued into.

      Going to Politicalgates and trolling for Palin violates the spirit of internet private property. Firelight usually doesn’t tolerate Malia Litman or some other Palin-hating shahid coming on here with their pseudo-intellectual suicide bombing antics.  Leave them be: you are only beating your head against the wall.

      These people hate Palin out of personal animus and spite; there is no reasoning behind it. That’s where Dr. Johnson’s Law applies. All of their so-called “reporting” about Palin’s so-called “scandals”: Trig Truth, The Mat-Su “Milkmaid” scandal that never was, the Palin’s supposed stealing of windows from the construction site of the civic center to put into their home: they pulled it all out of Andrew Sullivan’s ass to serve the interests of the Regime in Washington. Even Joe McGinniss himself had to write an email to the Gryphen, as his book was about to be sent to the galleys, that there was no proof for all this bullsh*t that Jesse and his gang of wreckers had come up with. One of the great things Andrew Breitbart did in 2011 was to publish that email; it impeached McGinniss’ credibility and that of the entire Palin-hating enterprise.

      That’s why I just make fun of these people and don’t waste time with them. They have fewer and fewer followers and adherents; once they tried to peddle Trig Truth and got Joe McGinniss addicted to their madness, all that was left was for Fonzi to jump the Great White.

      The larger problem we have is what people in Hollywood do to Palin and what people in the Press try to do to Palin to serve their masters in the Regime, not these sad clowns at Palingates and Politicalgates. That is something that we have to work on, and that Palin herself has to work on with people in the press, one by one, as she goes forward.

      Oh, and you do yourself no favors by trading blows with Zig Zag, who never forgave the Palins for not giving him a job. One of the best decisions Todd Palin ever made.

            Palin is a natural at this. She was born to it. The people who HATE, and I do mean hate her, people like Jesse Griffin, come to it out of emotion.

            99.9 percent of these people have never even seen Governor Palin, much less met her. Malia Litman, for example, is a basket case who needs some therapy. A brief look at her obsession will confirm that she needs to hit the couch with a strict Freudian. Being politically obsessed will do that to a person. 

            The Democratic Party’s activist base is FULL of such people. They have absolutely no sense of limits and no limit to their allowance of hate.

        My philosophy is I don’t tolerate them here. I might toy with them a bit but they usually do nothing but ruin the mood and while many of us are very talented debaters none of us are jackass whispers :)

    Mornin’ troops. It’s around 6:00 AM, year of our Lord 2012, and I’ve been up working since dark thirty (that’s about 4:30 for you yankees). Whoever it is who built my business instead of me hasn’t come in yet. Come to think of it, he/she/it hasn’t shown up once in 22 yrs., has never brought donuts, or paid their fair share of my business taxes.

    Needless to say, I’m hotter than a half-chewed jalapeno over this ‘someone else built your business’ BS, but I can’t dwell on it, or I would be either incarcerated, institutionalized or imploded long before now.

    This abomination in the White House is the greatest enemy of America I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. At least the country was pretty much united in fighting the commies during the great wars and the cold war. This is slow death by friendly fire.

    Well, I would rant further, but I’ve got to get all these 2nd quarter IRS 941 returns filed.

    May God have mercy on us all.

      My dad owned his own business when I was growing up and still does. This really set me off. It is absurd and denegrates all the people that sacrificed family time, money, everything to try and build something for themselves and their families.

    Since I know you all have been on the edge of your seats, I can report that the cinematic masterpiece “Game Change” has been nominated for an Emmy in all the major “Mini-series or Movie” categories. It’ll win, too. The acceptance speeches should be some of the choicest bullsh*t of the year.

      Ugh, but we all knew this was coming.  Does Mark Burnett have anything up for an Emmy?  Survivor maybe?  Wouldn’t it be funny if he took the Palins… would they really go “there” with them in the room?

          Yes, even the most vapid, Palin hater has the hardest time showing their true colors when they are face to face with her (example, the msnbc party). 

          I actually think we would see a similar reaction if she and Todd were to show up with Burnett and his wife.  I think the most unlikely people would be reduced to gawkers wanting her autograph and picture if for nothing but curiosity.  Kind of like when Bethenny, Valeri Bertinelli, Tom Bergeron and others have met her.  Everyone always likes her.

          For the movie to be nominated and likely win is not news worthy, it would be a mention at most on the news shows but if the award show turned into a hate Palin fest the media both liberal and GOPe would eat it up as a way to diss her by giving it a lot of play and attention.  I think if she was there, that would pretty much rain on any hate fest parade.

            Yeah, I remember the reports of the MSNBC party.  They were saying that everyone there was tripping over themselves trying to get to the front of the line in order to meet her and shake her hand.  Rachel Maddow went up to her, introduced herself, and asked her if she could get her something to drink.

Hollywood will plan some Palin hate-fest, especially if Romney is elected, and then Burnett and his wife will show up with Sarah and Todd in tow and they’ll fall all over themselves not knowing what to do trying not to insult the person in the audience that one of the actresses in the film brutally scorns.

    Those comments, even in context, are awful. The Dems are complaining that they were taken out-of-context. Yes, infrastructure is needed. In fact, that was Gov. Palin’s big thing when she was mayor because it allowed businesses to build in Wasilla.This was done at a local level. It wasn’t done as a faux works’ project to pad the wallets of union cronies, nor would she ever in a million years try to project the success of business on to the government. Additionally, those roads wouldn’t be built without taxes—taxes from business owners that are too high to begin with.

    RE: the Game Change Emmy nominations — it’ll sweep its category, I guarantee it. It’s one of the few ways the libs can have a collective temper tantrum and make a ‘statement’ to stick it to conservatives and/or engage in revisionist history; i.e., The Newsroom and all of that other stinky crap.

    Same thing happened at the Grammys when the Dixie Chicks got bulldozed after the slam against GWB. When they released their next (and final, ha) album, it won everything it was nominated for (if I’m not mistaken) or at least won several big awards that night, I didn’t care enough to keep a record of it. Interestingly, however, the Country Music Association, of which I’m a voting member, dropped them like a bad habit and never looked back. As a result, here in Nashville, when an artist sticks their feet in their mouth, or gets dissed by the public for something or other, they got ‘dixie chick’d.’

    Anyway, this will be a big deal when it happens, and dominate the 4th branch of government, but as usual, it’ll be a whole pile of sound and fury, signifying nothing, to quote my buddy Bill Shakespeare. It’ll just make their lies and desperation ‘official.’

    Back to my stack of IRS comfort and joy.

    Sarah Palin needs a PR campaign to restore her standing in Alaska. Someone should start a SuperPac to restore her good name in Alaska and saturate the Anchorage and Fairbanks as well as Juneau with the pro Palin message. Palin needs good her name restored especially in Alaska. TV, radio, internet it is about time somebody do this. Spread the idea.

      I disagree. Palin can do that herself.

      The notion that Alaskans hate Palin has been spread far and wide by the Palin-haters in Alaska and an Alaskan GOP that is hip-deep in Congolese levels of corruption.

      A Super-Pac spreading Palin-propaganda would be unmasked quickly by Palin’s enemies and treated with derision and scorn.

      At some point, this is something Palin has to do for herself among her own people if she ever wishes to stand for office on a national level. It would help if Palin would get out amongs Alaskans again. That’s what they liked about her when she was governor; she was approachable. Now, she’s not, and that’s a drawback of what she is doing now.

      If she is not for herself, no one else will be.

    I believe Mark Levin is only partly right on this matter. Yes, if Mitt Romney releases more of his tax returns, the democrats will not be satisfied. However, many Americans have a sense of “fair play” and the Americans and the rest of the world, want to know if Mitt Romney has anything to “hide.”
    Gosh, I hope it’s not “too little, too late.”

    Also, when a politician says,” I’m not for sale” and that is not embraced by the American people and the rest of the world, well, it’s a real shame.
