Taxed Enough Already Thursday

Good morning everyone!

Haven’t we had a fun few days and it isn’t over yet.  Gov. Palin will be on stage with Jim DeMint to rally for Ted Cruz tomorrow deep in the heart of Texas.

I don’t have much to add today.  There is still lots of news coming in from different interviews Gov. Palin has given in the past day or two.  Who is planning on going to the rally tomorrow night?  TexMex is the AGU/O4P point person so hopefully everyone can meetup together somewhere.  We need tweets and pics!!  Lots and lots of tweets and pics, lol!

News of the day:

Gov. Palin talks motherhood

Todd Starnes talks Chick-Fil-A with Gov. Palin…

I hope in my lifetime there will be a conservative Madame President or Vice President…

Nice to see someone actually get it…

Rubio needs to ditch the shrubs

um… Obama came here… Batman came here (Christian Bale), leading news anchors came here and Mitt is too chicken to send Rubio?…  That gives me real pause on his ability as Commander in Chief…

Facepalm… why?…

Hey, the House voted to audit the Fed…

Jedediah Bila nails it on Palin speaking at the convention:

Walker is right

Chicago uses discrimination shut down a company that doesn’t politically agree with them….

Our Senate sucks…  No more taxes…

LOL!  This is really good:

Have a great day everyone!

    Good Morning P4A!

Thanks Firelight for all you do!

Maybe Palin should send West to Colorado!   *smile*

      We would take him :)

Whitney and Janne mentioned American lady’s soccer last evening.
The much discussed goalie is Hope Solo. May I please remind you that Hope graduated from the same high school as Sarah’s mother in Richland, WA. — the politically incorrect Richland Bombers.

my medical assistant played against Hope in high school.

    • Whitney Pitcher

Thanks, Dr.G. I didn’t know that about that connection between Sally Heath and Hope Solo. :)

    • senator20526

…Is she related to Hans Solo?

  • hrh40

Thanks for the Jedidiah clip. I knew I didn’t have to bother to sit through all the other stuff, you’d have it this morning! :)

I dunno, maybe Rubio should have never been scheduled to go to begin with. All the pols and celebrities showing up, makes the whole thing so politicized….it seems creepy to me.

Bila was terrific as always.  But Michelle Malkin brought out the Breitbart in her and smacked down Tamara Holder….again. It was a beautiful sight. ♥

What can I say about Mayor Rahm…….nothing that’s printable here, that’s for sure.

Very, very anxious to hear what news Palin is up to…….should know in a couple of days. :))

    • Riley4Palin

I watched the clip of Bila today.  You’re right.  She was great.  I had to chuckle at that Doug Schoen guy.  Usually he is a Dem I can handle.  I believe he is a big time Hilary guy so perhaps his insecurity came shining through last night and sees Palin much more competition in the event Hil has future political plans.  Therefore, he had to go far back into the Dem talking points.  Zzzzzz.  Didn’t work then, won’t work now.  They need new material.

I also watched Malkin tear that dingbat Holder apart.  She was awesome.  Hard to believe Holder doesn’t watch her own Fox tapes and realize that she makes a fool of herself every time she appears on camera.

I found this article to be useful (it’s a WSJ opinion piece):

    Good Day everyone.

Double Facepalm, this is a new low for Obama.

    Jedediah was awesome.

    Good afternoon!

I am intrigued by what Jeb Bush’s end-game might be with regard to him encouraging Romney to pick Marco Rubio as VP.

Did Jeb directly or indirectlly threaten to sabotage Romney’s campaign if he didn’t pick Rubio?

Does Jeb expect that he or his son will be picked by Gov. Scott to fill Rubio’s Senate seat if Romney/Rubio won?

    • hrh40

      Inquiring minds …

      Paging section 9!!

      • section9

Rick Scott doesn’t have control of the Party Apparatus in this state.

Notice that nobody in the RPOF ran to defend Jennifer Carroll from unsubstantiated charges of a lesbian relationship with a former aide? That’s because once she decided to campaign with Rick Scott for Governor, she became his client. Now she’s sort of on her own.

This is still Jeb’s party here in Florida. No. 1 son, John Ellis Jr., is being groomed to take over the Family business. He’s getting in his service time as a member of the Naval J.A.G. Corps.

That said, the Bush Patronage machine has pretty much run out of steam in TX, near as I can tell. Their disdain for Rick Perry was pronounced, and I’m sure it was mutual. So, Rick has no Machine to put Dewhurst over the top when he needs it.The entire two Bush terms as Governor were designed to get GW to the White House. Once he left Texas, there were few Bush loyalists left in Austin or the rest of the state.

Jeb’s terms were far more substantive, and as a result, his residual power in Florida and in the national GOP is far more protracted and widespread. Jeb was careful to build an organization here. Rubio is the result of that building, as well as other young turks who are waiting in the wings. Jeb will not allow Marco to damage himself by being saddled with Toxic Mitt.

However, the Bush Family has lost Texas. First, Palin came in and backed Perry over the Bush client Kay Bailey Hutchinson, whom the Bush Family used to spread disinformation about Palin back when she was still Governor in 2009 (few people know this). However, someone in Karl’s office got to Perry and convinced him to stage his catastrophic Presidential run, and now he’s lost Palin’s trust. Palin was supposed to run, not him. You saw the result of someone who wasn’t ready for Prime Time in the debates last fall.

Palin’s firm and overwhelming support of Cruz is, imho, payback to Perry for his stillborn Presidential Campaign, one that was designed to block a Palin Campaign. She realized that Rick Perry had become a person she couldn’t fully trust, so she went searching for clients and found one in Cruz; and a valuable ally in Jim DeMint. If Cruz wins big, and I think he will, this will only increase the number of downticket Senate and House Republicans who want Palin in their districts.

I suspect that a big Cruz primary win will start making Palin shine again, big time. And it will make the “top of the ticket” look dull by comparison. And I suspect a lot of people on K-Street realize this, although they don’t want to say it out loud. Team Frat House has ears, and they are a vindictive bunch.

I can’t for the life of me seriously believe that Jeb would risk Marco so early in his career. I smell disinformation.

Why does Jeb need Marco? To bleed Palin if she runs against Jeb in 2016, that’s why. The Establishment Playbook is the same old, same old.

        • Firelight

but if Jeb wanted to use Marco to bleed votes from Palin in 2016 that would mean that Marco would also be running against Jeb in the primaries.  I see two problems with that:

          1. in order to bleed votes from Palin, Rubio would have to be considered a true conservative and this constant alignment with Jeb and support from Jeb isn’t going to accomplish that.  This just proves to people that he is nothing more than a Bush protege.

          2. For whatever reason (I’m still not sure), people really like Rubio and I think he quite possible in 4 years time would beat Jeb and have stronger support.  I don’t think he would beat Palin but I do think he would beat Jeb.

I don’t think Jeb has fully thought his plan out.

          • section9

Unless, of course, part of pocketing his “thirty pieces of silver”, Marco plays the role of Rick Santorum to Jeb’s Mitt Romney. Jeb runs as the slightly right of center father figure while Marco and Palin duke it out. Jeb’s front groups firebomb Palin with negative ads, while both Marco and Jeb campaign with clean hands so that they can at least make the argument to conservatives that, unlike Mitt, they had nothing to do with the B-29 raids against Palin.

Remember, most ordinary voters consider Marco a true conservative. He got his bona fides by taking out Crist in 2010 in both the Primary and the General. Tea Party people forgot that his fast promotion inside the Florida State House to Speaker came because Jeb and the other Party Bulls saw a guy who could become a national figure someday and bring Mountains of Pork back to the Sunshine State. They saw in Marco what Eddie Jones saw in Obama many years ago in the Illinois State Senate.

Marco Rubio’s career is a stark contrast to Palin’s. The man was and is a conservative, but he was never Movement. Unlike Palin, he was never in revolt against the Party apparatus: he used the Party Apparat to advance his career. But he, and the State GOP, were shrewd enough to use the TEA Party when the opportunity presented itself.

Marco used the TEA party when he and Jeb’s staff realized that Charlie Crist had overreached himself.  By late 2009, most Florida Republicans thought Crist’s embrace of Obama and his grasping for the empty Senate Seat unseemly and careerist (which it was). That revulsion led to Marco’s landslide primary victory.

However, Marco’s one great mistake was to telegraph his distancing from Palin during 2010. That told me that he was a Jeb guy through and through, and that he would be a Bush stooge in D.C.. It telegraphed the same thing to a lot of other people (like you, for example, Light). However, Palin observers are NOT most people. Most voters don’t pay close attention to the hand signals that make up politics. Most voters consider Marco  Rubio a right-winger like Palin.

Marco is a client. Marco will never betray his
You don’t do that in Florida
politics. ESPECIALLY in Miami Cuban politics. Marco would appear in
public in a Che t-shirt before he would turn on Jeb.

There will be a continuation of the great Cow Palace struggle that has been going on since 1964 between the Rockefeller Wing of the Party, represented by Romney and the Bush Family, and the Goldwater Wing of the Party, represented by Palin, if only because there is no Nixon figure in the GOP that is conservative enough to appease the Right and satisfy the moderates.

Here’s the key that makes me a Church of One, however. I strongly believe, and always have since she came on the scene, the Palin is the only figure who can reach out to both sides of the Party and take Nixon’s place. Right now, in her political lifeline, she’s where Nixon was after he exposed the Hiss Spy Ring in the Truman Administration: Liberals swore hatred upon the Young Nixon unto his death. They saw the Hiss Case as an attack on the New Deal, when in fact, Nixon’s aims were far more limited and careerist. But even had they known the truth, they never would have forgiven him for exposing the truth about liberals: that they indulged the mass murderer Stalin.

Palin occupies that same position in the Party that Nixon did. Like Nixon, she has known defeat and loss. Like Nixon, her enemies believe that she is dead and gone. However, first the Moderates must Come a Cropper, to have the lie revealed that they can lead the GOP back to where Reagan led them.

So it shall be with Palin, who is in the wilderness now, as Nixon was.

      Interesting perspective.

Personally, I think this has everything to do with Palin and indirectly about Rubio.  She endorses Ted Cruz and then comes the press release that she will campaign for him in TX tomorrow.

The Bushies cannot imagine Palin having an alley in TX who would give their chosen guy Rubio a run for his money in the Senate.

She continues to strategize and the Bushies can’t stand it.

Just wanted to spread the word about a fund set up to help a Colorado family who was affected by the theatre shooting.  The wife just had a baby and the husband was shot in the eye & is in a induced coma.  The medical bills will be through the roof!  You can help by donating here:

I got it from Michelle Malkin.  Thanks!

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, “Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land.”

Seventy five years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, “Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land.”

Today, Congress has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the economy, the war, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc… I called a Suicide Hotline.

I had to press 1 for English. I was connected to a call center in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal. They got excited and asked if I could drive a truck……

  • Bill589

My previous ‘comment’ was sent to me, along with this one.  I’ve been a little depressed about politics lately, and laughing at the problems sometimes helps me get through these low points.

This one, because of the dogs, reminded me of Cruela. I then considered that it is not at all PC . . . but then that reminded me of Cruela too. Firelight – I hope it’s not too much. If it is, I’m sorry – I understand if you delete it.
This morning I went to sign my dogs up for welfare. At first the lady said, “Dogs are not eligible to draw welfare.” So I explained to her that my dogs are mixed in color, unemployed, lazy, can’t speak English and have no flippin clue who their Daddy’s are. They expect me to feed them, provide them with housing and medical care. So she looked in her policy book to see what it takes to qualify. My dogs get their first checks Friday.

Hannity, yesterday regarding derogatory remarks against politicians –

“Like the ‘B’ and ‘C’ word used against people like . . . (pause). . . prominent conservative women.”

I hate it that Hannity censors himself.  He can’t even say her name regarding a plain fact.

Though, I find some comfort that this is evidence she is still relevant. And while she still has enemies in high places, I’m grateful for the heartwarming knowledge that even the saying of her name still must get their panties in a wad.

An article from Sheya that debunks O’Reilly and his polls. had Bachmann winning 61 to 39 at the same time as the poll had Palin crushing Bachmann 71.4 to 28.6% . That to me is proof that O’Reilly rigs his polls and remember the poll where only 14 or 16% though Palin was running. Thousands of votes were cast by those at C4P alone. Anyway this is a good one from Sheya.
