Thoughtful Thursday

Good morning all!

How is everyone?  Here’s some food for thought today.  Sometimes it amazes me how easy it is for people to forget.

We’ve been watching shark week at our house the past few days… someone save me.  It is interesting for the first hour or so each day but I can only handle so much.  Geezz, it makes me never want to get in the water again but yet I love the ocean and I grew up on boats so I guess I’ll just have to get over it.  Funny how it doesn’t seem to bother my kids at all.

Call to action:

It’s time to GET YOUR GRRR ON, get your boots on the ground, get your fingers on the keyboard, and get your ears on the phone to help send Martha Zoller to DC!

You don’t have to live in Georgia to help make calls for Martha Zoller.

Please contact AGU Board Member and AGU-GA State Coordinator Susan Widdowson: georgia@organize4palin.com

To get involved with the Zoller Campaign:

http://marthaforcongress.com/get-involved/

Martha’s crucial run off race is this Tuesday, August 21st!

News roundup:

The drumbeats are getting louder and more joining in… boom, boom, boom…  don’t ever say she isn’t smart

The new definition of Palin…

heh… Obama was asked about Palin’s remarks, lol…

Note to self: Take nothing seriously Erin McPike writes… to even entertain the idea of this group of misfits as sources for a story reaveals a deep, abiding stupidity for which there is no cure…

They’re not going away…

No, no, no… Barry no like…

My new hero for the day… this guy gets big props from me…

huh?  Why?…

I’m sure we will see lots of this between now and election day…  got to register those voters…

And now reality hits… conservatives won’t like this

Excellent!!  This is totally reasonable…

Steel spine on this one and steel cajones too!

No bounce?

I could have stopped after the first sentence  and been happy….

A heartbeat away

Whoa… that’s bold

Oh look what I found:

Have a great day everyone!!  Prayers for the FRC as they heal and the brave security guard heals.

    My Dear Friends in Sarah,

    Happy Thursday to you all!

The other day, Bill O’Reilly was talking about the Governor on his Fox News show “The Factor.” He then switched his discussion to Paul Ryan. He said, “Now HE’S a SERIOUS guy.”

The implied contrast was obvious. BOR didn’t say it explicitly; he did not have to. He was implying that Sarah is NOT serious, and that she does not have to be taken seriously.

Then he caught himself, and mumbled something like “Not that Palin isn’t serious …”

Sorry, Bill, we already know that you have never forgiven Sarah for calling you out a few months ago when you kept interrupting her during an interview. We know that you do not like the Governor.

    Let me pose a question.

As I pointed out in a post the other day, the Governor has said that she would give her LIFE for her people. I would stake my own life on the simple, absolute, and limpid truth of that statement.

Would Bill O’Reilly give, not his LIFE, but just his proud #1 cable-TV ranking for his country?? Would he give up his pride and money for his country, or for individual fellow citizens?? Maybe he would, but I think that I may be permitted to doubt it.

Would Karl Rove give his life for his fellow citizens?

    Would RNC chairman Reince Priebus?

    Would Mitt Romney?

    Would John Boehner?

Would any of these professional politicians and operatives?

I think that we may be permitted to be skeptical.

Brave hearts–BRAVEHEARTS– like SARAH come along only rarely in the course of a nation’s history.

Let us then treasure and support and defend and appreciate our Governor.

I promised the other day, when I first remarked on BOR’s offensive remarks, that I would post again my answer to Karl Rove that was composed in 2010 against his charge that Sarah lacks “gravitas.”

I think the piece could be directed equally well at O’Reilly and at the whole crew and crowd of GOP mediocrities, who have always refused to acknowledge that they hold the House today primarily due to the Governor’s ardent and devoted campaigning in 2010–indeed, they owe to Sarah and to the TEA Party that the GOP is even a factor in American politics today!!

    “She isn’t SERIOUS.”

    “She lacks GRAVITAS.”

    “She is a LIGHTWEIGHT.”

And on and on and on.

I am sick and tired of these third-rate, exsiccated, pompous windbags who presume to criticize someone who towers way over them in every way…

… IN MORAL COURAGE, IN PHYSICAL COURAGE, IN POLITICAL SAGACITY, IN ORATORICAL POWER, IN SOARING WISDOM, IN DEVOTED LOVE FOR AMERICA, IN ARDENT LOVE FOR AMERICANS!!!

I apologize to those of you who may have seen this post the other day.

I hope to continue in a few days with the commentaries on her beautiful book, Going Rogue.

    God bless you all always!!

    SARAH ALWAYS!

    DEO VOLENTE, SARAH 2012 (and/or Sarah 2016)

    Brianus

POST DIRECTED AT MR. KARL ROVE FROM 2010

Mr. Rove, you have questioned Sarah’s gravitas to hold the highest office in the land. What does gravitas mean, literally? It means “weightiness”: It is the weight of dignity and of majesty, the weight that tips the scales of combat to victory in the times that try the timber and mettle of the souls of men and of women and of nations. Its opposite is levitas, “lightness,”unsubstantiality.

In my view, to these veteran eyes of Berkeley, California that have seen and observed and pondered and reflected on many things through the turning and twisting and winding of the long, fateful years, it seems that there has rarely, if ever, been a weightier figure in the life of America than Sarah Palin of Alaska.

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she shattered the advance of obama’s “health-care” plans with the force and power of her truth-telling persona, and especially by the crucial coining of the brief yet all-expressive phrase “death panels”?

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she rallied to the support of Constitutional conservative candidates up and down and across the beauteous length and breadth of this land of ours?

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she lifted up and encouraged the spirits of Americans who had almost despaired that the United States could be dragged back from the abyss of statism to which obama and his “czars” and his minions were dragging her?

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she fearlessly exposed obama, the “man behind the curtain,” the “Wizard of OS (OverSpending)”by fearlessly and gallantly challenging and confronting him, time after time after time?

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she stood up to the“anointed one,” and brought down, yet again, the obloquy and fury of the Left by telling the simple truth about him and his lack of cojones?

Was she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas when, almost alone, she gave all patriots hope that America was not forever lost?

IS she not filled with the majesty and weight of gravitas as, almost alone, nay I shall say all alone, she goes about restoring simple faith and joy and happiness to the hearts and spirits of so many millions of Americans, not only by what she has done, said, written, and decided, but even more by just BEING WHO SHE IS: A lovely Northern Light from Alaska, a model and exemplar of the finest and best and noblest of America, whom we can treasure, imitate, revere, and love?

Mr. Rove, if this is not gravitas, then I know not where, in all the wide world, I shall find it!!

    • Bill589

I saw that BOR snipe too. I have no idea why I was watching BOR at that time. Must have been bad luck flipping through the channels. Whenever I hear him say he’s looking out for me, I want to vomit.

Rove is principle-less. He is the epitome of the corrupt GOPe and their RINOs. Sarah has shown that she has plenty of influence. Now guess whose opinion truly isn’t worth snot?

A couple of FoxNation articles you may want to fire-up, recommend, vote inspiring, and comment on.

Or not. lol – I admit I do it partly just because it bothers the PDS trolls that inevitably infest her articles’ comments there. Their lies are old and tired, and I think the truth really stings them even more lately. Sarah makes it easy to knock them down and defend her – though I’m not sure if doing this at FoxNation really makes any important difference in the world. Does that make me sadistic?

  • BrianusBerkleianus

And good morning, Firelight, and thanks so much for the news roundup!

    God bless.

  • Bill589

I just started getting the Fox Business Network. I noticed this Imus guy in the morning that I’ve heard of through the years, and tried watching him a couple of times, but I just don’t get anything from him that makes me want to watch him.

And this morning . . . Imus just said that Sarah Palin is and was “clueless.” When someone then tried to defend her he said, “Send out the Dallas cheerleaders then.” The conversation might have gone on, but that was enough for me.

Another arrogant ignoramus in the media. Insulting and hating someone he obviously has done no research on. It is sad that some people actually trust people like him for the truth about people and things in our world. I hope people wise up to him, and he gets the ratings he deserves.

    • BrianusBerkleianus

      Thanks, Bill!!

It is simply outrageous that people can make insulting and untrue remarks like the one that you cite.

But, just think of the Governor’s GREATNESS OF SOUL: She remains optimistic, joyful, hopeful, serene, confident–and she communicates these sentiments to us, so that we too find it easier to be optimistic, joyful, etc.

She never descends to the level of the ignorant and stupid haters!!

    • section9

Imus has always disliked Palin. People do until they get up close and personal. She’s never been on his show, so he accepts the common media description of her. Sad, but true.

      • Bill589

I’m no rocket surgeon. And nobody would nominate me for sainthood. But if I had a news show, even a news show biased toward constitutional conservatism, I would research before I commented good or bad about a person – even if the person was known to be progressive.

It just doesn’t seem that hard to do.  I figure it would build trust with listeners.  Why does it seem such a small number of media people follow even that simple little rule?

        • Exgunman

“Why does it seem such a small number of media people follow even that simple little rule?”………….They don’t need no stinking rules………………………….

    • Firelight

Imus is a waste of space.  Really, he adds nothing and offends most everyone.  I would not worry too much about him as he is a joke.

      • ProudAmerican247

Many of the worthless so-called media love being Shock Jocks.

They get off on it and believe in their mindless little minds that this is popular with the masses.

It isn’t or they wouldn’t be at the bottom of the barrel in the ratings.

    • ProudAmerican247

     Good morning!

Oh, Gov. Palin, that poker player! Those comments about Hillary Clinton taking Biden’s place were so clever.

Here’s the clip when Obama was asked about Palin’s comments. Look at Michelle Obama’s expression when Nancy O’Dell brings up the comments. Heh.:

    http://nation.foxnews.com/joe-biden/2012/08/15/reversal-obama-says-biden-chains-phrasing-distraction

Also, here’s a take on Palin’s comments that will make you smile:

“ the Huffington Post covered it, and 2,768 hysterical comments later, the liberals are still ranting.”
      ——————————

I love it when Sarah continually keeps the Libs in a forever-hysterical-ranting state with her comments.

      It makes my day.

  • TSM_Admin

Firelight, that chicken picture and comment is great!  Never heard that one before.  A little brightness to my day.

  • Bill589

Flipping through a lot of news shows this morning, a couple said that McCain is the one who said the Dems should replace Joe with Hillary. One said McCain and Palin.  A couple hours later, now I forget who exactly, but I noted it at the time, and McCain must have said it too.

I don’t know who said it first, but I betcha it was Sarah.
Maybe there are many who still are going by the ‘she who must not be mentioned’ rule. They wouldn’t want anyone to think that she still has influence, and that they might have to give her credit for something.

  • Riley4Palin

Happy Comin’ Late To The Party Thursday!

Well… some in the blogosphere (ahem ED @ HA) are finally coming around to Palin’s comments on Greta two days ago.  I guess a few of them needed to gauge their buddies to see if it was a stupid comment about dropping Biden for Hilary or actually a well played move by a superb politician.  As we always say around here, Palin is 1000 steps ahead of all of them, including politcal bloggers on both sides of the aisle.

In order to tamp down the latest Biden gaffes and promote his Medicare plan, Obama and FLOTUS appeared with Beyonce and Jay Z on Entertainment Tonight for a hard hitting news segment yesterday.  Okay….okay….Beyonce wasn’t actually there.  Michelle smiled and fluttered her eyes throughout the interview in her red picnic table dress ensemble up until Nancy O’Dell mentioned to her husband that Sarah Palin is suggesting they dump Biden for Hillary.  It was quite priceless.  Hey….let’s go to the tape and see what the Body Language Expert says.  “Well, it was obviously uncomfortable for both the President and the First Lady.  The First Lady shifted in her seat and quickly wanted to tap down that chatter.  I’ll assume their interview prep consisted of Miley Cyrus’s new hair style and what is up with Justin Bieber these days so I don’t think either were prepared to answer questions from Sarah Palin about political strategy.”

WH breaking news…..Obama, Biden, and Hilary are having lunch together today.  I wonder if the WH staff remembered that Sarah Palin doesn’t need the expensive china and crystal champagne flutes with her meal? They really are so kind over there at the WH to always set a place at the table for her.  Such sweethearts.

A little local news today.  Vicki McKenna is one of our kick butt Tea Party Conservative radio hosts here in the SE WI area.  She lives in Madison, WI and hosts a show there as well.  She has appeared at TP events with Sarah Palin and Michelle Malkin, especially during the collective bargaining stuff.  Anywhoo…..she knows our state and especially knows the liberal Madison area since she is one of the few brave conservative souls to live there.  Tammy Baldwin is the woman running against Tommy Thompson for our open Senate seat and resides in Madison.  She is an openly gay Congresswoman who the libs are pushing hard for to take over the seat.  Right now its all about electing the first gay congresswoman to the Senate.  On yesterday’s show, Vicki told the audience she voted for Eric Hovde, but like all of us would be pushing hard for Thompson now.  She started off the show with her humorous rant about Tammy Baldwin and said, “Her job is to be gay and vote Dem.”  I absolutely laughed out loud at the commentary and stopped typing on my computer.  Think about that for a second.  Her job is to be gay and vote Dem.  This is what the liberals are about.  They select issues important to them instead of what is important to our country and each individual state.  And yet, where are these people when someone attacks a business like the FRC or a place of employment that doesn’t agree with their own political views?  They stay silent.  I could be wrong, but I don’t believe Baldwin addressed the FRC attack yesterday and said that it was wrong and disheartening that this happened.  If they ever want to be taken seriously, they must not continue their selective outrage.  Until then, they will never be respected by more than their own little base of liberal voters.

Thanks R4P…. Pure Joy, reading your post this morning…(“Her job is to be gay and vote Dem”)… LOL

Good afternoon everyone. Excellent news round up Firelight. Jan is one serious Governor. I would offer her a part in the new administration, but to Romney she would be the last person to serve in his administration.

  • http://www.twitter.com/whitneypitcher Whitney Pitcher
    • Firelight

Somehow I think she knew she would draw fire which then solidifies the fact that Biden will remain on the ticket.  The more they swipe at her, the more they rule out the possibility of taking her advice.

Besides, Carney looks like a fool.  Biden’s stupidity is in a class of it’s own and I think people clearly know that.

It’s also funny when those moderate democrats are quietly thinking to themselves that they would really like for Obama to take McCain and Palin’s advice, lol!!

      • http://www.twitter.com/whitneypitcher Whitney Pitcher

Yep, plus I wonder what Hillary supporters think? I know that the actual possibility of replacing Biden was slim, but still, in knocking Palin, the Obama camp is knocking Hillary too. Putting the Obama camp on the defensive over Biden makes them less able to go on the offensive with other issues. It sends their messaging in disarray. It’s fun to watch. :)

        • Firelight

Yes, I think this ticks Hillary supporters off a bit because they probably think Palin’s idea is a really good one.

I am thoroughly enjoying this whole exchange. That Entertainment Tonight clip was great. To actually see her name mentioned in his presence and require him to answer her idea was just priceless.

          • TENCOLE

And, the look on Michele’s face was icing on the cake. :) )

        • Riley4Palin

Whip, Palin did something else amazing the other day.  She knows the Clintons can’t stand the Obamas. The last thing Bill and Hillary would ever do is play second fiddle to those two.  I bet she riled up quite a few insiders the other night.  Pass the popcorn.

        • blackbird

“in knocking Palin, the Obama camp is knocking Hillary too” I never thought of that but you are correct.

      • TENCOLE

“Besides, Carney’s looks like a fool.  Biden’s stupidity is in a class of it’s own and I think people clearly know that.

        There, firelight….fixed it for ya. :) )

        • Firelight

          LOL!!

      • Riley4Palin

Fire, its hard to take a guy like Carney serious when his former employer is Time Magazine and is married to an ABC news “reporter.”  He’s a step up from the other jag, but only a small step.

As for Palin, I’m sure she cried herself to sleep last night worrying that the WH doesn’t like her.  LOL

    • Riley4Palin

Carney was only following WH daily talking points.

The first swipe came from that little turd Sam Stein from Huff Post on Morning Joe this AM when he asked Axelrod about Biden and made some “cute” little dig that only his lib butt lickers would love to hear.  Then slime dog millionaire Axelrod swiped at Palin too.  As usual Scarborough stayed silent.  Good Lord, Palin lives rent free 24/7.

This is so comical.  Palin sets the narrative and they all soil their undies.

    • BostonBruin

Sen. McCain also came out yesterday and said that Obama should replace Biden with Hillary.

Gee, you think this was a coordinated attack between SP and McCain? Ha, ha!

  • 99Dual99Citizan99

Please allow me to state five areas about Brianus Berkleianus that may not be as obvious as a) he is a great poster and b) he “loves” Sarah Palin.

    1) Brianus is H-U-M-B-L-E!!!!!!!
    2) Brianus is a P-A-T-R-I-O-T!!!!!!
    3) Like Sarah Palin, Brianus is religious in a “good sense.”
    4) Like Sarah Palin, Brianus is as honest as a human being can be.
    5) Brianus can speak at least two languages.

  • Bill589

This was sent to me dated August 8, 2012. This is the second Time Julia Gillard has done this!I wish we could do this too:

Australian Prime Minister does it again!!
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Quote: “IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT… Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.”

“This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.”

“We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!”

“Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.”

“We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.”

“This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.”

It sounds like they have a momma grizzly down under.

Is Team Frat boy Really This Brain Dead?

Team Romney was completely unaware that there was a “break up the big banks” (BUBB) movement on the right. Certainly his political advisers are unenthusiastic.

I believe Mark Levin is absolutely right about immigration.

I am “legally” a dual citizen. However, in those days (the mid 60′s) in order to be a school teacher in Calif. one had to be an American citizen. As I was born in Canada, I became a naturalized citizen of The United States. Please remember,in those days in order to become an American Citizen, I had to swear against all allegiance to any foreign country. Personally, I think that is the right thing, especially when compared to Mr. Obama granting amnesty to “illegal immigrants.”

I say, God bless, Mrs. Brewer as she attempts to do the right thing for Arizona.

Again, I agree with Mark Levin, when he states something like,”the Republicans will do nothing about it.” Mr.Levin then goes on to give a brief history of the immigration movement of the 60′s. Although, I am not an expert on immigration, I remember immigration as explained by Mr. Levin.

Welcome and thank you.  Very good points in your article.

I thought of similar points with the shooter from the Sikh temple. He was a nazi but yet they wanted to paint him as a right winger. By definition a nazi is a form of socialist belief system so why would he be a right winger?  He would be cut more from Obama’s cloth politically speaking.

Of course our GOP is so in-ept and scared of being painted in a negative light that they don’t dare point that out.
