Gov. Palin Declines Fox News Contract Offer

Well this is what we have all been waiting for.  While we will likely never know details, what is clear is that Fox did make her an offer and she did decline to continue on.  VP Bill Shine stated that the parting was amicable in his statement to the NYT The Media Decoder.

Sure there will be some naysayers but I think we all could see that preaching to the choir can only get us so far.  I think Gov. Palin clearly could see this and now she can branch out and expand the conservative message in whatever way she sees is most effective.

Excerpt from Scott Conroy:

After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.

“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such as CNN.

Breitbart’s Tony Lee has a great write up too!

I also can’t help but be completely amused that Gov. Palin is still trending on Twitter even though we are told she is soooo irrelevant (cough, cough) and as Pete pointed out in the comments this little news drop has completely overshadowed Romney’s DC luncheon where he announced he wasn’t going away…  did anyone notice that?  buehler?… buehler?…  bwaa haaa haaa!!!!

I say congrats Gov. Palin!!  I’m looking forward to what you do next.

So, what many Sarah supporters figured and hoped would happen, happened.

Seems if she was content  w/the status quo she could have just stayed with Fox. Now what?

She could just retire from public life, and who could blame her? But, does anyone here think so?

    Not me.

    • blackbird

       me neither.

  • Pete Petretich

Isn’t it funny how Sarah’s little news item completely overshadowed Romney’s D.C. luncheon?

    • c4pfan

Yeah, who cares about a stupid luncheon?

  • DeeDEEthree

I think this is great news I liked this part of the article best.  the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

Firelight, thank you for bringing this news to people’s attention.

Personally, I think this is excellent news. The long march continues.

May G_d continue to bless Sarah Palin and her family.

chuck jr said more activity was ahead.
The numero uno item on twitter is the irrelevant Sarah Palin.

    • palinsupporter1

where did chuck jr say that?

      • Gelston

on one of his posts here or on C4P

      • c4pfan

Plus, her rep said she wants to get into the discussion more.

She prolly hasn’t had a fly land on her face in a while.
    Just thought I’d say that.

It will be interesting to see what Sarah has planned to do. We see DeMint with Heritage and West with PJTV. Can’t wait to see her new hunting grounds. Loaded for bear.

    • Jimd

and she is a very good hunter

  • deTocqueville1

This is great news for constitutional conservatives everywhere. We will now see the Palin unshackled! Buckle up folks.

  • blackbird

what Romney DC luncheon? LOL!, seriously.

    This is great news.

  • Hap_Mis

I for one think this is great news. Her or
somebody like her needs to bust out and start talking truth to power. One thing
the Guv brings to the table is that those that love her or hate her comprise a big
chunk of the public, and they’ll both turn out to listen! And maybe some haters
    might learn something!

    • c4pfan

Sarah is very open in her thoughts and that was shown when she did that Newsweek interview when that lady just up and came to their home.

  • pete4palin

I’ve been wanting to hear this for a long time.
    Let’s have a party!!    (a new one that is….)

    • c4pfan

Me too!  They were giving her the Tebow treatment on Fox News!

  • Nancy6

I’m starting to think Romney is Manti Te’o’s girlfriend.
He dropped off the face of the earth….

    • deTocqueville1

      Good one!

This will enable Palin to Go Rogue even more. She can appear where ever, whenever she wants. I bet she will make a lot of the right jerks nervous…..

She can still go on Fox too. Don’t have to work for them to appear.

  • c4pfan

Sarah’s is going to be focused on the 2014 elections per Q&A wit Breitbart (Stephen Bannon)
