Good Friday Morning P4A Kids….

Well I have to admit…I have been taking a news vacation. Firelight needed a day off so I had to kick myself in the ass to find a reason to care again! Have no fear though as if there is a way to cause trouble…I will find a way to do so! Over the past week I have been gardening and getting plants in the ground. I however was tuning into Limbaugh one morning when I caught another SCUMBAG ad by Robert Blaha who is running against Doug Lamborn here in Colorado for Congress. Now I am really not a big fan of Lamborn but he does have a senior seat on the Military Commission Committee in DC. He has done some good things for our military and for that..he has my support. According to Blaha though…Lamborn has taken “earmarks” and in order to pay back those contributors who donated to his campaign in the past…he has “paid to play.” Well…I contacted the Blaha campaign and let them know I find their campaign to be not only disgusting but the lies are out and out hurting our Military. I will not tolerate that! Lamborn has indeed “earmarked” funds. What the Blaha campaign fails to inform folks on however is those “earmarks” were for the benefit of our Military in terms of protecting land in and around air bases here in Colorado Springs to avoid developers from obtaining that land and developing it. Those “earmarks” protect land for future expansion of some of the bases here in Colorado Springs. Blaha is a scumbag and his campaign had NO answer for my question as to why they are telling half truths. Don’t screw with our military! Lamborn has issues…but he supports our troops! Why Blaha is even running has many left scratching their heads. IT’s NOT BROKE…So don’t Fix it Dipweed! Now Blaha is wanting to debate Lamborn. They already had one debate and Blaha was incoherent on basic Constitutional issues. He frankly looked like an IDIOT! I asked his campaign manager why he was so bad in the first debate and why he was running when he lacked basic knowledge regarding the Constitution….I really got no answer. Only that they were looking forward to another debate. I wonder if they ever heard of “first impressions?” I told his campaign manager that if they can’t find any positives to run on with their candidate..they need to step aside. They are running a CRAP campaign!

Okay…

Onto the Headlines:

Regardless your point of view or belief…the moral of the story is HE was NEVER vetted! Why?

Oh I am so sad…I still have all of her albums! She was the Queen! (Yes…I did say ALBUMS)

Is this a paying job?

And as always…It is a dog’s life after all!

On This Day:

1642 – Montreal, Canada, was founded.

1798 – The first Secretary of the U.S. Navy was appointed. He was Benjamin Stoddert.

1896 – The U.S. Supreme court upheld the “separate but equal” policy in the Plessy vs. Ferguson decision. The ruling was overturned 58 years later with Brown vs. Board of Education.

1897 – A public reading of Bram Stoker’s new novel, “Dracula, or, The Un-dead,” was performed in London.

1917 – The U.S. Congress passed the Selective Service act, which called up soldiers to fight in World War I.

1933 – The Tennessee Valley Authority was created.

1934 – The U.S. Congress approved an act, known as the “Lindberg Act,” that called for the death penalty in interstate kidnapping cases.

1942 – New York ended night baseball games for the duration of World War II.

1951 – The United Nations moved its headquarters to New York City.

1980 – Mt. Saint Helens erupted in Washington state. 57 people were killed and 3 billion in damage was done.

1983 – The U.S. Senate revised immigration laws and gave millions of illegal aliens legal status under an amnesty program.

1994 – Israel’s three decades of occupation in the Gaza Strip ended as Israeli troops completed their withdrawal and Palestinian authorities took over.

1998 – The U.S. federal government and 20 states filed a sweeping antitrust case against Microsoft Corp., saying the computer software company had a “choke hold” on competitors which denied consumer choices by controlling 90% of the software market.

1998 – U.S. federal officials arrested more than 130 people and seized $35 million. This was the end to an investigation of money laundering being done by a dozen Mexican banks and two drug-smuggling cartels.

You all have a Good Friday!

Dear SarahPAC Supporter,

You’ve been a loyal SarahPAC supporter and I can’t thank you enough for your generosity.

But now with so much at stake in this critical Election year, I have just one question for you:

Will you help us finish what we started in 2010?

You were part of the original Tea Party movement.

You joined Gov. Palin in telling Barack Obama that we didn’t want him to “fundamentally change” the America we love.

But now in 2012 we’ve got some unfinished business on our hands, and it’s clear what we need to do:

Defeat Barack Obama.

Win the U.S. Senate.

Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America is destroying everything that made our country great.

If he and his class-warfare cronies in the Senate aren’t defeated, there will be no end to their regulating, spending, printing and borrowing.

If we want to save our country, then we must change the team and the game plan in this crucial 2012 election.

In fact, if we don’t win this election, I predict that our nation will never recover.

We will go the way of other broken, failed governments.

I don’t want my children and grandchildren working the rest of their lives just to pay off Obama’s debts. And I’m willing to bet you don’t either.

So I’m asking you to join us in finishing the job today.

Will you help Gov. Palin prove that the Tea Party movement isn’t simply a political fad… it’s an American awakening!

And it’s coming from ordinary Americans who understand that reclaiming our America means repealing ObamaCare. Upholding the Tenth Amendment. Reining in overregulation. Canceling Obama’s unused stimulus money. Eliminating all federal corporate income tax, corporate welfare, and loopholes.

And tapping into our abundant American energy resources – oil, natural gas and clean coal – to free us from dependency on foreign dictators!

This is the kind of sudden and relentless reform in Washington we must have if we are going to defend the future of our families and our nation.

Now is our chance to grab the bull by the horns.

The media elites are predicting that the Tea Party isn’t going to be a difference maker in this Election.

As usual, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Our Tea Party friends are telling us that they’re even more excited about this Election than they were in 2010…

…because this November we have a chance to fire Barack Obama!

State by state, district by district – by bus, by plane, on the stump – you can count on Gov. Palin to do everything in her power to elect candidates who share our vision for America.

Will you continue to support our SarahPAC Revolution and help elect pro-family, pro-America patriots who share our beliefs to Congress?

Thank you for helping us save the America we know and love!

Tim Crawford
Treasurer, SarahPAC

P.S. Our victory in 2010 may have slowed the Obama liberals down. But it hasn’t stopped them. Our chance to finish the job is finally here. We have our work cut out for us – but together we can make it happen!

Since Deb Fischer won the Nebraska Republican Senate primary on Tuesday, the discussion of the power or intent of Governor Palin’s endorsement has been discussed by many in the media. Some have tried to pass off Fischer’s win as the result of the fact that her opponents turned their guns on each other, and she escaped unscathed. In other words, Governor Palin’s endorsement had little to do with the victory. The folks at Breitbart, and even some at the New York Times, have recognized the power of Governor Palin’s endorsement. Heck, even, Jennifer Rubin at the Washington Post, gave some backhanded credit to Governor Palin for Fischer’s win. However, there are those who are questioning not only the power of Palin’s endorsement, but the intent. They are trying to imply that Governor Palin primarily endorsed Fischer because she is a woman, when so much of the support for Fischer extended far beyond that.

It’s easy to recognize with Deb Fischer’s win that Governor Palin endorsement played a big role in Fischer’s campaign, alongside a big grassroots effort in Nebraska. This is the kind of boost that Governor Palin provided that helped Nikki Haley win her gubernatorial primary in 2010. Governor Palin’s endorsement is powerful, but it isn’t solely about getting the candidate over the top to win. It’s about changing the way the game is played. It is not about gender, though Governor Palin definitely wants to see more conservative women in politics. Remember too that Governor Palin endorsed Rick Perry over Kay Bailey Hutchison and Deb Medina in the Texas gubernatorial primary and Joe Miller over Lisa Murkowski in the Alaska Senate primary in 2010. Really, those two endorsements tell quite a bit of the story when it comes to the meaning of her endorsements.

When Governor Palin released her congratulatory note about Deb Fischer’s victory, she noted:

As recently as a week ago, Deb Fischer was dismissed by the
establishment. Why? Because she is not part of the good old boys’
permanent political class. The message from the people of Nebraska is
simple and powerful: America is looking for real change in Washington,
and commonsense conservatives like Deb Fischer represent that change.

This is what Governor Palin’s endorsements are about–real change and ridding Washington (or the state halls) of the permanent political class. This is not better seen than her recent endorsement of Richard Mourdock in Indiana to replace veteran Senator Dick Lugar, nor in her endorsements opposite the Bush endorsed Kay Bailey Hutchison and coattail riding Lisa Murkowski. While many questioned her 2010 support for Christine O’Donnell, her intention was to send a message to the Establishment and to the permanent political class–which extends beyond those who hold political office. The message echoes Reagan’s — “those voices don’t speak for the rest of us”. Suffice to say, Governor Palin is the Expo eraser to Karl Rove’s dry erase board. It’s about the principles of the party, not the party itself. While the Roves of the GOP want the tent to get bigger, the Palins of the GOP want to ensure that the tent–no matter its size– has its stakes driven into solid enough ground that it won’t collapse.

It’s not solely about opposition to Rovian-Schmidtish political strategy though. Governor Palin views politics and policy in a way that very few in politics do– both politics and policy must revolve around the people, not the party. Governor Palin recognizes that politics is not just a battle between right and left; it’s a vertical battle between top and bottom–both within the party structure and as a matter of policy. Governor Palin is the political Galileo ( with Ronald Reagan as Copernicus). You may recall that Galileo was an astronomer who pursued the ideas Copernican heliocentrism–the concept that the earth revolved around the sun, rather than the other way around. The Catholic church declared him a heretic and put him under house arrest where he continued his work, and of course, he was eventually proven right. This Galileo-Palin comparison may not be perfect in its entirety, but it shows an important point. Those in the permanent political class wish to believe that all political power revolves around them, when it really revolves around the people–the people who vote, not those who pontificate. The same concept is true for policy. The big government views of the Left and the “pro business” views espoused by many in the GOP think that government exists to do things for the people or for businesses. Governor Palin is pro market. Who is empowered in a pro market economy? The consumers (the people). The people determine whether or not a business fails or succeeds by their purchasing power–not by the special loans of the big government Left or the special tax breaks of the pro-business GOPers, but of the the Galileoan pro-marketers.

This is what makes Governor Palin’s speech in Iowa late last summer so compelling. She laid out a vision of a pro market economy–no corporate taxes, but no corporate welfare, no special tax breaks or subsidies either. In other words, let the people decide what business fail or succeed by their purchasing power. Also, as Governor Palin wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, echoing Peter Schweizer’s book Throw Them All Out, let there be no more crony capitalism and no more special treatment of politicians. This is the very thing that Deb Fischer espouses too. If you look at her campaign website, Fischer notes specifically “reform Congress and Washington D.C.” as one of her policy plans. As example, Fischer mentions some of the very same things in this policy plank that Governor Palin did in her WSJ op-ed:

Tighter Ethics Laws

Prohibit Members of Congress and federal employees from trading
stocks based on information obtained on the job that is not publicly
available.

Prohibit Members of Congress, their staffs and federal employees from disclosing nonpublic information for investment purposes.

Prohibit Members of Congress, their staffs and federal employees
from purchasing land based on inside information that is not public
available.

Require Members of Congress to be subject to the same laws and privileges as every citizen of the United States.

This brings everything full circle. Whether it’s an endorsement or policy driven speech, Governor Palin’s influence is powerful and so is her impact on ridding the political system of the permanent political class and replacing it with what the Founders stated at the very beginning-”-We the People”.

Morning everyone!

I’m happily drinking my tea this morning. I’m also buckling my seat belt because I think we are in for a wild ride in Texas. There is too much on the line for the establishment to just play nice. Nope, they are going to go all in against Ted Cruz. They will dump on him, make some stuff up about him and rig the polls against him. They do not want Palin to have another feather in her cap. They also do not want another conservative headed to Washington. So now we will see what Cruz is made of. Whether he fights or folds and if he has anything to hide. My money is on Cruz but I won’t put anything past the GOPe.

So yesterday I was coming home and parked at my neighbors house was a white pickup truck with a Palin 2012 bumper sticker on it. I couldn’t help it, I had to go investigate. This is huge because I am not a nosy neighbor and prefer the live and let live attitude. The truck belongs to a 20 something young man who is a ski instructor from Beaver Creek. He is the absolute stereotype of someone you would NEVER expect to be sporting such a sticker. I knew he was the real deal when he told me he recently “shred” such and such mountain. He is a fishing, rafting and kayak guide in the summer. He also loves to hunt. I was baffled at how this young guy came to support Gov. Palin. For the record, he visits no political blogs. He does listen to Mark Levin, he is a Ron Paul supporter but would vote for Palin over Paul. The big thing was that he got to see The Undefeated. He said it was by accident but he was all in after that movie and hasn’t looked back. I was loving it and made a new friend.

Now for pure gold:

RUSH: The only War on Women that I have seen being fought in the Republican Party is the GOP elite war against Sarah Palin. That’s the only War on Women I see being conducted.

He is spot on with that observation.

News roundup:

Get ready for Life’s a Tripp…

Have a great day everyone! Drink some tea. Those who are bold enough, enjoy a Long Island Tea…

Good morning peeps!

Ahhhh, I’m hoping to make this a running title, lol! Section9 raised the question and I thought it a brilliant idea because YES WE DID… we did kick some booty last night. What a great victory. Whitney put up an excellent post on it – here.

I got nothing on the usual goings on. I’m counting my days until summer break. I am pining for some no alarm days where I can just sleep in.

Now we need to focus on Ted Cruz. What do our Texans think of his chances?

The message from the people of Nebraska is simple and powerful: America is looking for real change in Washington, and commonsense conservatives like Deb Fischer represent that change.

Due in large part to the power of a Palin endorsement, Deb Fischer won the GOP Senate Primary in Nebraska by more than five points over her Huckabee and Santorum endorsed opponent, Jon Bruning. Mike Flynn at Breitbart.com notes:

Just two weeks ago, the battle for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska was between state Attorney General Jim Bruning and state Treasurer Don Stenburg. Neither inspired the growing base of conservative voters. They were, to be charitable, standard conservative-ish career politicians. Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin shook up the race with a late endorsement of state Senator Debby Fischer. It made all the difference.

I follow politics very closely, yet I hadn’t heard of the Fischer candidacy until Palin’s endorsement. National tea party groups like FreedomWorks had put all their resources behind Stenburg, with nary a thought about Fischer. A good reminder that these groups aren’t as plugged into the grassroots as they like to claim.

A wind of change is blowing through the nation. Fischer’s nomination tells us that voters are rejecting the tired ‘politics as usual’ messaging of most candidates. Be fearless. Have courage. Stand for something.

Sarah Palin gets it. Here’s hoping the national GOP gets it too.

In the week following Palin’s endorsement, Fischer went from down sixteen points to up five points in the polls. Fischer also had the endorsement of She-PAC and Herman Cain. Governor Palin released this message following Fischer’s victory:

As recently as a week ago, Deb Fischer was dismissed by the establishment. Why? Because she was not part of the good old boys permanent political class. The message from the people of Nebraska is simple and powerful: America is looking for real change in Washington, and commonsense conservatives like Deb Fischer represent that change. I applaud Moms like Deb Fischer who are bold enough to step up and run on a conservative platform to restore America and protect our children’s future. Congratulations to the people of Nebraska. As the Huskers’ fight song goes: “The eyes of the land, upon every hand, are looking at you. Fight on for victory!”

- Sarah Palin

Fischer’s main opponents were either career politicians or career candidates. She had served in the state legislature for just a few years. Another interesting thing to note is that Fischer is not only a conservative, she’s a reformer. Please take a look at this plank of her platform. She addresses changing lobbyist rules, increasing transparency, reforming ethics in Congress, among other important stances. It looks like she’s standing with Gov. Palin in the fight against crony capitalism. Way to go, Deb!

Let's hope Nebraska is drinking their tea today...

Good morning everyone!

Yep, today is Fischer Tuesday. If you live in Nebraska please take your friends (alive or dead), pets and self to go vote for Deb. If you don’t live in Nebraska but can get there, go vote for Deb. (just kidding election police… its all for giggles).

So I’m addicted to the show Smash. It has been my Monday nights for the past few months and now it is over. What a season finale! However, Big Break Atlantis started up and we love to watch the Big Breaks so I guess that gives us something.

What does everyone have going on today?

Headlines:

Bristol really is a pistol…

Tony Lee has a great POV on Bristol’s blog…

Gov. Palin formally endorses Deb Fischer… so go vote for her… today…

Gov. Palin also endorses Ted Cruz…

Michelle scores a speaking spot…

I don’t think they are listening…

Shewd move there Orrin…

Of course they don’t… can’t miss that opportunity…

Heh… I got a nominee for them…

Nah… don’t believe it…

Why doesn’t someone just ask her for her tribal card. If she is 1/32 indian, she will have one. I should know my hubby and kids all have tribal cards. We are a card carrying Choctaw family. Of course, I also have Indian blood (Cherokee) but not enough for a card even though I am the only one in my family that really looks it. Mr. Firelight always likes to call me his squaw, lol. Likely more proof that Warren is lying if she can’t produce a card.

Dumbass... this completely ruins my favorite TV show Shark Tank…

Oh, this is priceless…
Go Vote Deb Fischer!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

One thing is certain, however, if this had happened under President Bush the BBC would have been in full Bush derangement mode.

The BBC, taking it’s cue from the US media, lost no time in pimping the foiling of the Yemeni Underwear bomber plot.

The US has foiled a plot by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to detonate an upgraded version of the failed 2009 “underwear bomb”, US officials say.

Quotes followed from Sec of Defence Leon Panetta and Sec of State Hilarry Clinton

“These terrorists keep trying. They keep trying to devise more and more perverse and terrible ways to kill innocent people,”

Full marks to all those involved in the uncovering of this AQAP (al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula) terrorist attempt to blow up a plane. The US media really went to town on the story with wall to wall coverage in what became a clearly orchestrated valediction of President Obama’s record in the war on terror – and remember, it’s Presidential election year.

First the celebration of the anniversary of OBL’s termination, now this….”tough on terrorism, tough on the causes of terrorism”
As the UK arm of Obama’s re-election campaign naturally the BBC went deepthroat on the story. Except, as the days went by, it became clearer that this was much more of a Saudi/UK operation than a CIA coup.

The Guardian has learned from Saudi sources that the agent was not a Saudi national as was widely reported, but a Yemeni. He was born in Saudi Arabia, in the port city of Jeddah, and then studied and worked in the UK, where he acquired a British passport

The Saudis recruited him for their own security service and almost certainly kept the UK’s MI6 in the loop. However the Obama administration’s boastful publicity has probably made AQAP more aware of the threat from double agents. Experienced US intelligence operatives were certainly not impressed

Mike Scheur, the former head of the CIA’s Bin Laden unit, said the leaking about the nuts and bolts of British involvement was despicable and would make a repeat of the operation difficult. “MI6 should be as angry as hell………………………..this is really tragic,” Scheur said.
He added: “Any information disclosed is too much information. This does seem to be a tawdry political thing.”

Sorry, Mr Scheur, you obviously haven’t grasped the fact that the item at the top of the agenda was not the need to protect an existing network – it was to create a useful 2/3 day “shining moment” to maintain Obama’s re-election campaign. Kudos to the the left wing UK Guardian for posting this – to date nothing on these lines has appeared in the BBC website; indeed I wonder how much of it has been picked up by the msm in America. One thing is certain, however, if this had happened under President Bush the Beeb would have been in full Bush derangement mode.

Meanwhile, as Obama, Clinton and Panetta bask before the adulation of the media elite, British, American and Saudi agents must be bashing their heads against office walls in frustration…

….and doubtless, somewhere in Yemen, men and women are screaming in agony as they are tortured by AQAP “specialists” tracking down moles. But, as they and their families die, bleeding and broken, they must find comfort that they died for a higher cause – a nice spread of Obama boosting coverage in the New York Times and, naturally, the BBC…

I stand with Israel.

Good morning everyone!

In 1948 on May 14th Israel declared independence. So today, we honor that.

I was hoping for more video from Gov. Palin’s speech at the SALT conference but it hasn’t emerged. We did get a nice Facebook post/tweet on Mother’s day.

Speaking of Mother’s Day, I hope everyone had a great one! My Mother’s day was fantastic. We all had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. The geese were out on the golf course and I have one child that has a heart for animals (no matter what they are) and one that thinks its funny to chase them (but I think he would be shocked & freaked out if he actually ever caught one, lol). My mom was teasing that she was going to run over a goose if it didn’t move out of her way. My daughter was little miss drama queen so teasingly I looked at my mom and told her I would pay her a $1.00 for each goose, he he he. We had him stuffed and next to the potatoes in jest. Of course, my daughter knew I was teasing so we had a good laugh and she relaxed. What we didn’t plan on was that my 4 year old son heard me and turned himself into MacGyver trying to hit a goose with a golf ball. He couldn’t hit the side of building if he was two feet away, lol, but that didn’t stop him from trying. Boy was he on a mission. He kept saying he wanted that dollar, he he he! Sadly, he never got a goose but we had a LOT of fun watching him.

Oh and Peta lovers out there, I figure if a goose doesn’t want to be hit by a golf ball (or cart) I figure they wouldn’t hang out on the golf course in everyone’s way so spare me any troll lectures. I have no tolerance for Peta people and will ban you faster than you can honk like a goose.

Looks like the news was light over the weekend:

Happy Mother's Day weekend to everyone!!

Good morning everyone!

It is Mother’s Day weekend and my kids are taking me and my mom (their Grammie) to play golf. It should be a lot of fun as we are a lively and honorary group. There is lots of smack talk that goes on and money always changes hands (often many, many times during a round of golf).

My kids think their Grammie and Papa walk on water which is as it should be. Their Grammie is a feisty lady who is everything a kid could want for a mom and a grandkid could want for a Grammie. She is that mom that did it all when I was growing up. She has a very bohemian vibe to her. She isn’t liberal (at all, no global warming) but could be considered one of the original crunchy conservatives. She gardens, grows her own food and has always done it organically. She has never liked plastic stuff and prefers natural woods, wool, and cotton. She re-purposed and recycled before it was popular. She was the mom that let us make a mess with finger paint or baking cookies and didn’t freak out, she played cowboys and Indians with us in our teepee she set up in the living room and she always decorated the house for every holiday possible. She loves yoga, being out doors, 60′s music and Elvis. She has a wicked sense of humor and that twinkle in her eye like she is up to something even when she isn’t.

She taught my brother and I to be adventurous and creative, have a strong work ethic, that nothing comes for free, that we can do anything we set our minds to if we don’t give up and that love is unconditional. She taught us that character and integrity matter, forgiveness is gold, laughter is healing and family is forever. She instilled in us a sense of living frugally even when we are blessed with a lot, that freedom isn’t free and that we live in the greatest country on earth. She taught us to love God, serve him and serve others. She volunteered more hours that I can count at school and church. Our house was the popsicle house. It was the house that everyone hung out at. Everyone was welcome at any time, for any reason. My friends loved my mom. They could talk to her about anything. We had several kids from families that were going thru a hard time live with us off and on when I was growing up. She would never turn anyone away. She actually drove a Pink Rambler and then a Jeep Wrangler for awhile when I was growing up. That was her style. Now she is pining for a convertible VW Bug. I have a feeling she will get one.

She was also strict, had high expectations and demanded responsibility. It took me 22 years to figure out why we never had a full, intact yardstick in our house when I was growing up. I really wondered that when I was little. My mom was so handy I found it weird that they were always broken. He, he he… it was cause that what she used to whoop on us when we got in trouble. It took me two decades to figure that out. My brother and I were a handful (we were her’s after all ) but man did we have fun as kids!

One of the biggest lessons I learned from my mom was that there was no such thing as victim mentality. You see, my mom is deaf. She has been since she was 5 years old. She has 30% hearing in one ear and 0% in the other. Growing up, my friends thought she was from England and my mom would play along for a bit and talk about the Queen, lol. She can read lips like no one I have ever seen and we used to stir up all kinds of laughter when we would go to the Country Club or Church and she could tell me what was being said across the room, my, my my…

So this weekend’s blog is for my mom. She reads here everyday but is too busy to comment and doesn’t like disque (who can blame her on that). Mom, I love you and if I was playing golf on Sunday (I’m only driving the cart), I would totally kick your butt!

On to the news:

Bristol hearts Hillary and I agree…

Why do they act so surprised?…

I’m kinda glad… I like him as Sheriff...

This is a novel idea…

I hope he wipes the floor with Craig James…

Happy Friday morning everyone!

Today Gov. Palin speaks at the SALT convention. I am really hoping that either video or a transcript is released.

What does everyone have planned this weekend? We are taking the kids to play golf up north near Estes Park. I can’t play since I just had my surgery last week but I can drive the cart! I love when we all play together. It always is full of good laughs and much fun. It will be on the cool side but it isn’t suppose to rain up north like it is in the Denver area. How about everyone else?

Well Bristol sure stuck her hand in the beehive, lol. She actually didn’t really comment on her position on gay marriage. She was making a point of the influence Obama’s daughter’s had on him and the reaction from the liberals.

OK, so now I’m not defending Romney on this school pranks article that ran in the WaPo. They corrected the error but all in all there is nothing to defend. He was a practical jokester. However, to claim that he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body as his current spokesperson says is just going too far. The man has a mean and somewhat cruel streak. We have seen that with his attacks on the other candidates and his treatment of Gov. Palin. So while I think most of what he did was harmless, I can’t stand his Pollyanna crap. I also don’t like the Wapo trying to twist something that even the family of the man who is the alleged victim claim isn’t an accurate story.

Hannity panel turns the tables on Obama…

The real story is here…

Hey look here… Gov. Palin’s endorsement gives Ted some bounce…

This is a great read…

Oh, this is so bad, so really very bad…

Thank you for saying this out loud… thank you very much!

Awwwwwwe, he must be worried about his job…

Let’s hope not…

Someone wants to be VP…

Nice takedown of Brunner…

One should be smart enough to not have to renounce such a thing… should be… especially if you thought you were qualified to run for POTUS…

Really? are they going to be called haters?…Ok

OK, now keep it going… we need a bigger lead than this…

Have a nice Friday everyone!! Don’t forget your last minute Mother’s Day cards and gifts.

Good morning everyone!

Yes, I am thankful. I am thankful that conservatives and the Tea Party showed they still exist and stronger than ever. I am thankful that my stone (Sarah) is free. I am thankful our vote still counts and we are still a free people. And I’m thankful for smores, just because…

Well, it appears that Gov. Palin endorsed Deb Fischer. I find it interesting that the announcement didn’t come from Gov. Palin like normal. There was no Facebook post or tweet. I almost didn’t believe it at first. The announcement came from Deb Fischer who shared an email she got from Sarah. However, it came down, I’m glad that Gov. Palin is rolling out her game.

Have you heard Rush’s awesome rant?

I’m not convinced… I think this is likely a hoax… but it is sad that I believe it could happy based on Mitt’s lack of character…

Of course it was politics…

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Very good morning peeps! OK, so we won some battles last night but we are far from winning the war. I still feel more energized and hopeful that the Tea Party is alive and well. I’ve seen it in the delegate process in my state and across the country as things unfold but I needed to see it at the ballot box too… and we did! Woo Hoo!!!

I’m off this morning to get my MRI so that should make my day interesting. I’m just glad to find out how big and where this thing is. I’ll deal with how to rescue it later.

For now, I’m doing the happy snoopy dance at the conservative muscle that was flexed yesterday.

News roundup:

That’s power baby…

Lugie concedes…

I’m just going to keep repeating the title… it makes me happy…

Trounced! Really, really trounced…

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha…

Boom! Take that…

She is so desperate for attention…

Um… he was pretty clear in some of the debates on what his position was… or so I thought…

Forward!

Good for him… now this is really moving forward.

Um OK… so I guess I’ll burn my Bachmann 20–not ever at any point shirt… drat…

And now people wonder why conservatives don’t feel that “special” bond with him…

Oh they can try… not gonna let them…

Great interviews by Bannon with Stacy Drake and Tony Lee…

Jackass...

Not gonna lie… I would have voted against this Amendment for several reasons but the chief one is the ban on civil unions… the devil is in the details… this particular Amendment gives too much power to the government…

This looks interesting…

A must watch….

What is this deliciousness? Ooooohhhh I can’t wait…

Looking forward to more speeches like this from conservative victors…

OK folks, have a great hump day!! Drink a cup of tea

Big votes today...

Good morning everyone!

Why major Tuesday? Well today is the day when we know if conservatives have the right stuff to defeat the liberals and establishment in November. Today is the day that Wisconsin NEEDS to vote for Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch. Indiana NEEDS to vote for Richard Mourdock. These victories will make a statement to the establishment that conservative voters will turn out for OUR candidates and causes and our voices still matter.

This vote today is huge. We can not lose Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch and we need to get rid of Lugar. I don’t think I have watched Fox News in weeks but I guess I will tonight to see the results. I really want conservatives to flex their muscles in a big way. We need it right now.

For the record, I haven’t heard if my MRI has been approved yet. The panel met and didn’t let my doctor know before they left for the day. I hope we hear today. Again, Obama and his “care” sucks…

I also saw a promo for Bristol’s new show on TV last night. It looks really good. I’m impressed and can’t wait for it to premiere in June.

News roundup:

Salt conference opens today but Gov. Palin doesn’t speak until Friday…

For the sake of unity…

This seems to be an oxymoron…

This makes for good entertainment but lets see what he gets out of it…

He is bang on except claiming that Carlson and Scarborough are not a part of the establishment… that’s just laughable…

Well, we all saw this coming…

So why did he stop at age 27? That’s a question for the book tour…

Hmmmmm…

To a degree he is right but he is also missing a large part of the anger…

Yes, where are the indictments?… Bueller? Bueller?

That is part of the problem…

So it starts…

Congrats to her…

Nice to know this is how some see our “finest”…

And this is what happens when people don’t think ahead and overstep their boundries…

Pants on fire…

Oops…

Oh lovely…

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Interesting revelation one has when they actually look at her actions and record...

One might say that she is the ONLY one uniquely qualified to sit in the White House and fix this country...

More pure excellence from Whitney!

You can read the entire piece here. Again, rent a bullhorn, do some drumming, maybe a little tweeting or mass mailing. Spread this info where it would normally not go.

Here is some of the awesomeness:

Is she “unqualified” or “unprepared”? What is her actual record? The media demanded and got unprecedented access to the emails she wrote as governor. No other national or state politician has been more open and transparent. We can know this woman if we just take the time to investigate.

I did, and I discovered a record of relentless reform and fiscal leadership that goes beyond “drill, baby, drill” and is more complex than selling an expensive state jet.

and sit down for this one:

Today everyone likes to call himself a deficit hawk, but it’s easy to be a budget cutter when you’re broke. Palin was a serious deficit hawk at a time when her state was flush with a massive oil revenue surplus. It takes discipline and strong conservative principles to rein in spending at a time like that. Palin cut spending by nearly 10% during her tenure while reforming government, attracting more energy companies to do business in her state and adding jobs.

In the days of credit downgrades in states across the country and for the country as a whole, Alaska has seen its credit upgraded twice since 2006 due to Palin’s reform of the state employee pensions and Alaska’s oil valuation tax.

Shhhhhh, break it to the liberals gently… they may pass out:

Alaska pollster David Dittman said at the time, “Her strength is her independence. She distanced herself from the old boy Republican regime and has been completely non-partisan.” Alaska Democratic Party Chairman Jake Westbrook gave Palin credit for “working across party lines on issues where there is agreement.”

Gasp… she is THE economic expert this country needs. In fact, she dwarfs Romney’s economic and business “expertise”:

Palin cut state spending between 2007 and 2010 by 9.5% while also reducing federal earmark requests by more than 80% during her tenure. She used her line-item veto to cut more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending in both 2007 and 2008. In 2009, she instituted a temporary hiring freeze, while at the same time reducing spending by more than 33% between FY2009 and FY2010.

But she didn’t just cut spending; she saved, reformed, and prioritized like a good fiscal manager. She invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding, paid down debt, invested $2.6 billion in an education fund for the future, and funded a Senior Benefits Program to provide support for low-income Alaskan seniors.

Ooooohhhhh this is soooo relevant which would make her relevant to anyone with a brain:

In fact, Palin’s record on jobs compared to the country as a whole was stronger than the President’s and other prominent governors’ during their respective tenures

Oh my, my, my what would the teacher’s union’s think?:

Palin forward funded education to allow districts greater flexibility, supported increased vocational training and early education funding, opened up opportunity to Alaskan students to participate in regional medical schools, and increased overall funding for special needs education by 175% (before she herself became the mother of son with special needs). Believing that the best reform was close to home, Palin wisely also chose to monitor rather than participate in national standards for education.

Again, go here and read the WHOLE thing. Funny how what we need right now is jobs, deficit reduction, energy independence, liberty, better more local education, and less government interference and Gov. Palin is the ONLY person who has a record of actually providing these things.

Beyond his failure to highlight aspects of Palin’s record that would bolster the McCain campaign, Schmidt and the McCain campaign’s greatest negligence came in not vetting candidate Obama.

In my humble but most accurate opinion, HELL NO! Of course this is completely obvious but oh how I am relishing in this complete take down of the sleezeball, this dipschmidt.

This is pure excellence by Whitney!

Here are some snippets:

However, Schmidt’s comments indicate that the selection process and the entire campaign he was involved in during 2008 did not consider such factors, which leads one to ask, “did Steve Schmidt have the ‘capability and preparedness’ necessary to perform his role as campaign strategist?”

In other words, let the vetting of Steve Schmidt begin.

That last line has me doing the happy dance Snoopy style!

Here’s more (emphasis mine):

The 42 year-old New Jersey native’s campaign experience started with work for four FAILED state and national races during his mid to late twenties—ranging from the Kentucky Attorney General’s race in 1995 to working as Communication Director for Lamar Alexander’s 2000 presidential bid. He also managed failed Lt. Governor and Senatorial bids in California in 1998.

and:

How Steve Schmidt Failed to Vet Obama and Highlight Palin’s Record

During the 2008 election, the McCain campaign touted Governor Palin’s reform credentials by noting her rejection of the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere,” selling the expensive governor’s jet, and signing bipartisan ethics reform into law. However, the McCain campaign never noted that Governor Palin signed legislation in April of 2008 reforming Alaska’s retirement pension system and addressing an $8 billion unfunded liability. The reform led to a 34.6% reduction in liabilities owed by the state of Alaska following Palin’s tenure. So while Senator McCain was emphasizing how bipartisan record on other issues would mean that he would be able to reform federal entitlements like Medicare and Social Security, his running mate had already passed a state level equivalent of such a reform in a bipartisan manner.

Please read the entire piece here. Pass it around, send out flares, heck start a drum circle to bring attention to it, lol. This really is LONG overdue!

As Charles Hurt of the Washington Times wrote, “what people like Mr. Schmidt don’t understand is that the reason so many Americans fell in love with Sarah Palin is not because they hate Democrats. It’s because they hate Republicans. Specifically, Republicans like Steve Schmidt.”

Oh and they just keep trying… truth is apparently irrelevant to these people. Tony writes a must read that lays it ALL out.

Here are some snippets:

Of course Palin was vetted, and she was vetted by none other than thorough Washington, D.C. power-lawyer A.B. Culvahouse. In an interview Culvahouse gave to The Washingtonian magazine, he described his impressions of Palin when he was vetting her: ”She gave a very thoughtful answer to all those questions. People who are more experienced, more savvy–maybe some of them gave less savvy answers…”.

But nobody mentions this inconvenient fact, and that is why it is important to look more closely at the “Schmidt Memo,” as it is important for two reasons.

Then, when they got lucky and picked Sarah Palin, whose convention speech (which more people watched than Obama’s) was responsible for the McCain campaign’s brief lead over Obama, they proceeded to mismanage Palin on the campaign trail. Because Palin was a last-minute selection, they should have allowed her to comment on all the issues of the day as if she were the candidate. Then they could market the ticket as a true team of mavericks whose opinions on various issues might be different, but who would be united by their passion for reforming Washington. Instead, Schmidt and Wallace tried to program Palin as an establishment, Washington D.C. creature, which she never was and did not have the DNA ever to become.

You can read the entire article here. It must be excruciatingly painful for the LSM and GOPe to read in detail after detail the depths to which they have descended into the cesspool of lies, corruption and stupidity.
PS – Paul Ryan, you who attended Game Change, SHAME on you. You are now on my shit list and I will never forget your complete and utter lack of leadership should you seek higher office. You are nothing more than a GOPe sheeple.

The Alaska GOP learned quickly that she wasn't going to be a good teammate in corruption; she wouldn’t play their games and stuck to her principles instead.

Here we go folks! This is an excellent article by Stacy. You must read the whole thing and share it with those you know.

With this cycle’s Republican primary race winding down, much of the media attention has shifted to who Mitt Romney will select to be his running mate.

Some press members are using the opportunity to take shots at Sarah Palin by repeating old memes. Axe-grinders like Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace are using the discussion to push their ongoing agenda to escape any accountability for what happened during the 2008 election. All of this is sadly predictable. However, what was not expected were members of the GOP establishment joining in with the anti-Palin chorus.

The GOP establishment’s Palin-bashing is intended to pressure Romney to pick someone who they know will play by their rules. By denigrating Palin, claiming she wasn’t qualified — when an honest look at her record clearly states that she was — they are removing any possibility that a Beltway outsider like her has any chance to be on this year’s ticket.

You can read the entire article here. It only gets better!

Morning peeps!

How is everyone? Thanks for all the prayers. I’m still getting better. I thought I would be much better by now and I am somewhat better but geez who would have thought…

Thanks to Cruela for keeping the ship afloat. This is such a great community and I love the vibe that we have here. I’ll leave the history to Cru since she is so very good at it and I love reading it!

So today the “panel” decides if they are going to rescue my rogue stone or not. As Cru mentioned, I’ve named it Sarah. I consider the “panel” the same as the GOP establishment. They want to pretend it isn’t there and whatever we do, we can NOT set it free. It’s funny how such a small stone can cause so much havoc…

Headline news:

First, we are amongst celebrity here… look at this fine mug…

I’m looking forward to this speech tomorrow… I hope we get some reports…

Check out this Julia… I like her…

McCain is still defending his Palin pick… kudos to him…

Oh please mainstream this idea… please, please, please…

Another coming bubble?

And you so, so, so want to be VP… (she isn’t hiding it well).

I have the theme from the Lion King playing in my head…

I bet this leaves a cozy, welcoming feeling with the French… so is this guy a pauper?

So was there a recent time when France wasn’t socialist?…

Hmmmmmm… not impressed with the list…

Oh look… he wins most of Iowa…

Oh look… he won most of Maine…

Oh look… he won most of Nevada delegates too…

Funny, I thought this was already a done deal…

Say what?… This doesn’t surprise me… the fact that he is saying on TV surprises me…

So what happens to the people that don’t like to follow the rules?

Yeah… whatever… it’s more like he bought it…

Yes, we must sell the morality of the free enterprise system to win the war but can Romney do that???

Well lookie here… maybe the tide is slowly turning…

You think so?… shhhhh don’t tell him about the ad below…

Good Super Moonlight Weekend P4A Kids…

Happy Cinco de Mayo Day for all those celebrating…

Saturday night affords a “super moon”…and as someone said on twitter today that made me about spit my iced tea across the room…”NO it does not involve Rosie O’Donnell bending over.” HA! (is that wrong?)

Okay…I am going to do something I don’t often do when I post a morning thread…I usually save this for my singular posts. But seriously how could I not comment on this? Joe Biden being kept out of the campaign decisions? At what point did he lose any “manhood”…(small “m”)…he had left after agreeing to be Obama’s VP pick? He has been reduced…dare I say…to a “slave” to the Obama Camp only to be used as a mouthpiece for failed policy programs. If I could pull him aside I would ask him if he really believed what he was touting on the campaign trail. Has he really lost that much of himself that he has been reduced to nothing more than a frightened and starving dog that he will do anything his “owner” demands for a small scrap of “food” that he is being offered? Mr. Biden…I would seriously hope that at some point you wake up and do what’s right for AMERICA and not for that small scrap of what is soon to be a historical failure. You have a chance to help right the ship. Let us see what you Sir…are made of! This is your chance…to tell the TRUTH!

Well the events of the day were indeed…scary. I took the dogs for a walk in a nearby natural park area. As we walked along a smaller trail that lead to more of the main trail my dog in the lead and Miss Bailey on a leash behind her…we past by a somewhat obscure bush where next to it was a rattlesnake. The dogs were within inches and I about a foot away by the time I saw it. It…THANK GOD..was lethargic for whatever reason! I can say I have not jumped that high or moved that fast since I was back playing volleyball. Not that I could ever jump that high..but I did today. When was the last time your knees wobbled! Neither dog saw it as it was quiet. The “drink” I had when we got back home…went down sort of fast! EGADS! I just thought about having to tell the owners…”I am sorry…I put your cat down on Monday and killed your dog on Friday!” We will got to a safer swimming hole tomorrow!

Firelight is still resting so you are still stuck with me through the weekend! I have to break down tomorrow night and head home early Sunday morning so any updates may be later on Sunday after I get set back up again at home.

Onto the Headlines:

Gosh really…Is this a BIG SHOCKER? Can’t wait to see what else will come out in the coming months!

“Bow Tie Wearing White Boy?…And we wonder why we can’t get past any of this! I am really not a fan of Tucker…but he had some very valid points! I hope Jehmu lost her gig as far as Megyn Kelly’s Show!

Works for me!!!

Uhm….okay? So proud to have her “on the job.” NOT! Can we drug test these people before they board a plane for foreign lands?

Creepy would be the correct word!

Plan on another lawsuit coming Arizona’s way! But stay Strong AZ…We stand With YOU!

The skies the limit…LITERALLY!

I believe everyone should bookmark this great site and tell your friends. True Heros!

And because it is a dog’s life…maybe Dad should have scored a few goals! YIKES!

On This Day:

1798 – U.S. Secretary of War William McHenry ordered that the USS Constitution be made ready for sea. The frigate was launched on October 21, 1797, but had never been put to sea.

1809 – Mary Kies was awarded the first patent to go to a woman. It was for technique for weaving straw with silk and thread.

Good Finally Friday Morning P4A Kids…

Got word from Firelight. She seems to be doing okay…but has a “rogue” stone rumbling around. Will need some more tests. She named it “Sarah.” Continued Prayers. I noted she was pretty active on the Twitter last night…so that is good news!

Well Miss dumb dog…came face to face with a herd of deer just passing through yesterday. Her and a doe were in an intense stare down for about 10 minutes. They were about 5 feet apart. My dog slept through the whole thing. I will admit that at times…the doe looked a little upset and made a few moves towards the dog. She had a kid in tow. I tell ya…it is interesting watching the wildlife. I consider myself pretty lucky minus putting down the cat this week. Anyway…I am almost done with my tour of duty here…with only one left to go next week with a deaf dog.

Anyway…

Onto the Headlines:

Welcome to the new rows of “Children of the Corn”….you are most welcome here! At this rate we will need more Corn Producing States in order to make room! EGADS!

Prayers to Firelight and her family! Surgery is not fun…I know…I have had three. But it is time to take care of your health and I am honored to step in to help in your absence.

Well I am still fighting the depression of putting someone else’s pet down. Thanks all for the support. Now it is just monitoring the other cat as he knows all is not well and now he is wandering the house looking for his lost friend. The dog could care less. She is only ever looking for her ball. I give thanks to the owners friend as he came over to watch the death then took Maxie…made a box and came back to bury her on the hill behind the house with the other pets. The whole thing is just bizarre and sad…to be honest! I was just about ready to let the dogs out Monday night for their nightly doody call….when I spotted a Mtn. Lion drinking from the water barrel just off the patio. It was one of those…Oh SH*T moments!!! So I can safely say….Monday was not a good kitty day!

Well let’s get to the headlines…shall we?

Good morning everyone!

It’s May Day!!! I can’t believe it is already May and I’m only 3 weeks away from summer! If you could see me right now, I’m doing the happy dance.

I am having surgery tomorrow so I will be out til the weekend. Cruela will be Commander in Chief of the ship. I might pop in for a few snarky comments if I can. When I come back I will be all of 2 ounces lighter and sans a gallbladder. I tried to get my surgeon to commit to at least 5 pounds but no dice. I figured all those gallstones would weigh something but sadly 2 ounces is the best I can hope for. It’s so not right…

Well, I think Newt is supposed to bow out tomorrow and possibly endorse Romney. That will be a disappointment if he does that.

If you aren’t following Bristol’s blog, you should. She is great and really laid it out yesterday and USA Today picked it up…

Joining up with The Tea Party Express… interesting…

Can’t see Romney doing this… Mitt’s ego is too big…

Who would have thunk it… this too…

I’m not feeling joy and happiness over this… not at all…

I figured they could only tolerate so much…

They are so sweet to share…

I’m ‘un-interested‘

OK folks! I will see you guys this weekend… I’ll be back (in my best Arnold S. voice).
